1 — Leading The Chase: How The Z06 GT3.R Controls The Points And The Globe
While a podium finish just slipped through our fingers in Canada, what went down at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park proved that the Bowtie brand still owns the sandbox. Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg fought through a grueling IMSA GTD PRO field to lock down a fierce fourth-place finish for the No. 4 Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports Z06 GT3.R. It is the kind of gritty performance that championship seasons are built on. In fact, this precise result was exactly what the team needed to secure Chevrolet’s lead in the IMSA GTD PRO Manufacturers Championship, holding down a commanding 47-point cushion over arch-rival BMW.
But this isn’t just about a single Sunday sprint or one domestic leaderboard. What we are witnessing right now is the undeniable global supremacy of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R platform. Whether it is battling the absolute best in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship or conquering the international stage in the FIA World Endurance Championship, this mid-engine beast has evolved into the definitive benchmark for GT3 racing worldwide. Before we cut to the official Corvette Racing press release, check out how this program is rewriting the record books with a quick look at the dominant podium finishes below.

CORVETTE RACING AT CTMP: Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports finishes fourth in Canada
Chevrolet still leads GTD PRO Manufacturers point standings
BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada (July 12, 2026) – Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports’ No. 4 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R finished fourth in the IMSA GTD PRO class in Sunday’s Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg drove to one spot outside the class podium while their teammates – Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims – finished ninth in class in the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
The result for the No. 4 Corvette was good enough to keep Chevrolet in the lead of the Manufacturers Championship points standings in GTD PRO, leading BMW by 47 points.
Giacomo Altoe and Casper Steveson, drivers of the No. 81 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for DragonSpeed finished 10th in the GTD class despite a mid-race, drive-through penalty for jumping a restart.

Matt Bell and Orey Fidani, drivers of the No. 13 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for 13 Autosport, finished 12th in class. Mason Filippi and Robert Wickens, drivers of the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for DXDT Racing finished 13th in class. They lost time early in the pits when a throttle-return spring fell off during a stop and had to be repaired. When the car resumed in the race, it was two laps down.

The next IMSA event is the Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix from Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Sunday, August 2. The six-hour race starts at 10:40 am CDT and will be streamed on Peacock and streamed on IMSA’s YouTube page (outside United States). IMSA Radio will stream live audio coverage on XM 206, Channel 996 on the SiriusXM app and IMSA.com.

3 — High-Mileage Mayhem: A 50,000-Mile 2025 ZR1 Is Somehow Still Chasing More Than MSRP
For years, our exclusive wholesale reports have offered Corvette enthusiasts an early look at where the market is heading, often weeks before those same cars land on dealer showroom floors. One trend has remained remarkably consistent throughout the C8 era: owners simply don’t seem to drive their cars. We routinely uncover Stingrays and Z06s with astonishingly low odometer readings, preserving them more like museum pieces than America’s Sports Car. Just recently, we spotlighted a 2022 Stingray that had barely eclipsed 6,000 miles, while our last report featured a 2023 Z06 showing an almost unbelievable 771 miles. Those are the kinds of numbers we’ve come to expect. Which is exactly why today’s story stopped us in our tracks.
When The Odometer Becomes The Headline
Finding a high-mileage C8 is rare enough. Finding a 2025 ZR1 with more than 50,000 miles? That’s headline material all by itself. But the real shocker is that this well-traveled 1LZ Coupe is being offered for more than its original MSRP. Yes, Chevrolet’s 1,064-horsepower halo car now shares the spotlight with the monstrous 1,250-horsepower ZR1X, but this is still a used Corvette that is already halfway to six-figure mileage. Considering a 2025 ZR1 1LZ Coupe carried a starting MSRP of $174,995, seeing an asking price above that figure has left enthusiasts scratching their heads. Then again, there may be one intriguing silver lining. According to the Carfax, the car still shows zero owners, meaning the lucky buyer could retain the balance of the factory powertrain warranty. GM’s pesky anti-flipping policy shouldn’t affect this sale. Of course, with more than 50,000 miles already on the clock, there isn’t much runway left before that 60,000-mile coverage disappears.
The Story Behind The Story
As fascinating as this ZR1 is on paper, the conversation surrounding it may be even more entertaining than the car itself. The listing has ignited spirited debate across the Corvette community, with enthusiasts weighing the value of a heavily driven halo car against its eye-popping asking price. Is this proof that the market still believes the ZR1 badge commands a premium no matter the mileage? Or is it simply an ambitious seller testing the waters? Let’s take a closer look at this extraordinary 2025 ZR1, then dive into the story within the story as we explore the passionate community discussion that brought this high-mileage unicorn to our attention.

What The Community Is Saying
There may not be another Corvette on the market generating as much debate as this one. At first glance, the headlines practically write themselves: a 2025 Corvette ZR1 showing more than 50,000 miles is listed for more than its original $174,995 MSRP. For many enthusiasts, that combination simply doesn’t compute. But as the comments began pouring in, the story took an unexpected turn. This wasn’t a privately owned ZR1 that someone somehow managed to drive across the country several times over. Instead, enthusiasts uncovered what appears to be one of GM’s promotional and CTF (Captured Test Fleet) press cars, explaining both the zero-owner Carfax and the astonishing mileage accumulated in barely a year.
A Press Car With A Hard Life
Once that revelation surfaced, the conversation shifted from “Who would drive a ZR1 that much?” to “Would you buy a factory press car at that price?” Some enthusiasts saw value in the fact that the Carfax still shows zero owners, meaning the next buyer should retain the balance of Chevrolet’s factory powertrain warranty—although with more than 50,000 miles already on the odometer, the 60,000-mile coverage won’t last long. Others pointed to the worn driver’s seat and the likelihood that this 1,064-horsepower halo car spent its early life doing exactly what GM built it to do: enduring media launches, promotional events, performance testing, and countless journalists eager to experience America’s most powerful Corvette.
The Market Debate Is Just Getting Started
If the comments proved anything, it’s that today’s ZR1 market remains one of the most polarizing topics in the Corvette world. Some readers insisted only a fool would pay above MSRP for a 50,000-mile Chevrolet, regardless of the badge on the fender. Others countered that the car will sell quickly, arguing that demand for the ZR1 still far outpaces supply and that waiting for prices to collapse may leave buyers waiting until the C9 arrives. The discussion quickly expanded into a broader battle over MSRP deals, dealer markups, future production, and where the ZR1 market is ultimately headed. Whether you believe this high-mileage press car is wildly overpriced or destined to find a buyer within days, one thing is certain: few used Corvettes have sparked this much conversation, proving once again that today’s Corvette market continues to surprise us when we least expect it.
