“This 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 3LZ convertible is #106 of 250 Stars and Steel limited edition cars produced to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Stars and Steel cars were outfitted with American flag-inspired graphics, edition-specific interior treatments, Torch Red seatbelts, Edge Red-painted calipers, and Carbon Flash 20″ and 21″ forged aluminum wheels. #1 — 1969 L88 4-Speed Vert Nearly Takes BaT L88 Record At $850,000
♦ Key Listing Details:
“This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette is one of 216 examples equipped with the L88 package during three years of production and is one of 116 built for the 1969 model year. Configured as a convertible with an optional hardtop, the car was ordered new by a US serviceman stationed in South Korea for delivery via GM Overseas Distribution Corp. After its completion on April 9, 1969, the car was collected by its first owner in Atlanta, Georgia, upon his return to the US. It was purchased in 1978 by an NCRS and Bloomington judge, with whom it remained for two decades before passing through a series of collections. Finished in its original color combination of Le Mans Blue over black vinyl, the car retains a 427ci L88 V8 with aluminum cylinder heads, a performance camshaft, a 12.5:1 compression ratio, and a four-barrel Holley carburetor. Additional factory-optioned equipment includes a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission, a Positraction rear differential, heavy-duty suspension, power disc brakes, transistor ignition, an engine block heater, tinted glass, a rear window defroster, a hardtop covered in black vinyl, a black vinyl convertible top, shoulder belts, and an audio alarm system.
Accolades accumulated by the car include MCACN Triple Diamond Certification, Bloomington Gold Certification, Bloomington Gold Survivor Certification, and NCRS Top Flight status as well as selection to five Bloomington Gold Special Collections and induction in the Bloomington Gold Hall of Fame. This L88 was purchased by its current owner in 2024 and is now offered on dealer consignment in Pennsylvania with a copy of its window sticker, delivery documents, an NCRS Shipping Data Report, a CCAS engine stamp affirmation certificate, owner correspondence letters, and a clean Pennsylvania title.”
