Today marks the 59th installment of one of CorvSport’s most closely followed series, and once again, we’re heading back into the wholesale trenches. Alongside our resident retired dealer—armed with 17 years of firsthand experience and the industry access that only decades in the business can provide—we’re pulling back the curtain on the market most enthusiasts never get to see. This is where the retail story actually begins, long before that dream used Corvette gets detailed, photographed, and rolled onto a showroom floor with a polished sales pitch. Since early 2024, these exclusive reports have delivered the data, trends, and observations that help separate internet speculation from what dealers are truly doing when real money changes hands.
ZR1 Hysteria: The Top 7 Takes Center Stage
As always, our curated Top 7 Spotlight Corvettes serve as the heartbeat of this report. Handpicked by our in-house dealer, these seven cars are designed to stress-test specific segments of the Corvette market and reveal where demand truly stands. This week’s lineup packs serious firepower. Headlining the group is a rare C8 ZR1 sighting—a unicorn even in dealer-only circles. Since the C8 ZR1’s release, just 14 examples have crossed the country’s largest wholesale lanes, with the very first sale back on August 7, 2025, hammering for a jaw-dropping $391,000. Joining the ZR1 are three C8 Z06s and three Stingrays, giving us an excellent cross-section of today’s hottest modern Corvette segments.
The SuperSeller Showdown Returns
Of course, no wholesale report would be complete without another chapter in our ongoing SuperSeller rivalry. This week, Texas Auto Value (TAV) and GiveMeTheVin (GMTV) square off once again in a battle that has become a fan favorite among CorvSport readers. Adding another layer of intrigue, two of the Stingrays arrive wrapped, leaving dealers guessing about the true condition of the paint hiding underneath. Yet despite the uncertainty, one factor remains remarkably clean across the board: not a single Spotlight Corvette has an accident on its history report. Combined with the aggressive discounting now being offered by major Chevrolet franchises on the magnificent C8 Z06, this may prove to be one of our most revealing tests yet of the modern Corvette market’s resilience.
Dallas: Still Sizzling Or Finally Cooling?
Beyond our Top 7, our expanded Dallas coverage continues to provide one of the clearest snapshots of the health of the wholesale Corvette market anywhere in the country. Since October 2025, we’ve tracked every Corvette crossing through these dealer-only lanes, creating a database that offers readers unprecedented transparency into what dealers are actually buying and selling. The question entering this installment is simple: after posting back-to-back sell-through rates north of 90 percent, can Dallas keep the momentum alive? The Top 7 has been equally impressive, recording four perfect 100-percent sell-through performances since February. Those numbers certainly challenge the growing chorus of online chatter insisting that the used C8 market is supposedly crashing.
The Full Corvette Picture
And if all of that wasn’t enough, we continue to monitor every Corvette generation that has crossed the wholesale block since October 2025. While auction giants like Mecum and Barrett-Jackson often spotlight the classics, our data captures the reality of today’s dealer market, revealing the exact ratios of modern to classic Corvettes when the bidding gets serious. Layered on top of that is our growing database, which encompasses every installment of this series, allowing us to identify trends that simply can’t be spotted from isolated snapshots.
So, enough with the buildup. The anticipation has reached its boiling point, and the team at CorvSport is every bit as eager as you are to see how today’s numbers shake out—especially when it comes to one irresistible question hanging over the lanes: just what kind of fireworks will that 2026 ZR1 3LZ Convertible produce when the hammer finally drops?

Top 7 Spotlight: Wholesale Dealer-Only Auction Activity Report
#7 — 2022 C8 Stingray Coupe 3LT
6,184 Miles
Condition Report: 4.9/5.0
Autocheck History Report: 2 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $69,000
(Dealer Insights: SuperSeller GMTV, which claims to be the USA’s #1 wholesale distributor, starts us off with a bang. This nice 3LT Coupe flew by the MMR, to the tune of $1,300. However, that extra bump should still leave the selling dealer with good margins to work with.)
#6 — 2022 C8 Stingray Coupe 2LT
3,870 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
Autocheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: NO SALE
(Dealer Insights: The first wrapped Stingray is a flop, despite the lower miles and a perfect 5.0 condition report. GMTV usually comes ready to hammer its C8s, so it’s likely they were too heavy in this unit.)
#5 — 2023 C8 Stingray Coupe 2LT
20,745 Miles
Condition Report: 4.0/5.0
Autocheck History Report: 2 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $60,000
(Dealer Insights: Sometimes it’s hard to figure out the wholesale lanes, and this is one of those cases. Despite an obvious unannounced wrap, higher miles, and only a 4.0 condition report, GMTV had bidding activity and hammered this Stingray off at nearly MMR. The color is not my cup of tea, but I’m sure the next enthusiast will love the bold lime green!)
#4 — 2024 C8 Z06 Coupe 3LZ
3,888 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
Autocheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $114,000
(Dealer Insights: SuperSeller TAV hammers off its first to a new dealer, and at a price that is nearly on par with the historical average from 12 months ago. That one metric alone gives you an indication of where the C8 Z06 market really is.)
#3 — 2025 C8 Z06 Convertible 2LZ
6,213 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
Autocheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $116,000
(Dealer Insights: As TAV sells its second Z06, I’m instantly drawn again to the historical averages and a hammer price that is $1,000 above the value from 6 months ago. And it’s not often that the hammer syncs up perfectly with the MMR. The next enthusiast is going to love the “look at me” appeal of this Z06!)
#2 — 2025 C8 Z06 Coupe 3LZ
1,799 Miles
Condition Report: 4.3/5.0
Autocheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $131,000
(Dealer Insights: There’s no doubt that the options, mainly the Z07 package, pushed this C8 Z06 well past the MMR, to the tune of $10,000! Unfortunately, the MMR valuator is not configured to account for expensive trim packages. TAV proved they are, in fact, a SuperSeller, hammering all three of its Top 7 units.)
#1 — 2026 C8 ZR1 Convertible 3LZ
148 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
Autocheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $230,000!
(Dealer Insights: GMTV finishes up our Top 7 with a $230,000 bang! The one odd thing that jumps out on this listing is GMTV claiming that 148 miles are “delivery miles.” Nevertheless, this is an impressive wholesale price for a used C8 ZR1, once again proving how remarkable these new GM supercars are.)
The Final Word
What a way to close out another week in the wholesale trenches. The headline-grabber was undoubtedly that 2026 ZR1 3LZ Convertible hammering sold at $230,000, but the story beneath the story may be even more fascinating. GMTV put an exclamation point on our Top 7 by moving the ZR1 with just 148 miles on the odometer, which they described as “delivery miles.” That’s certainly an interesting detail to note, but regardless of how those miles got there, the takeaway remains the same: this is an enormously impressive wholesale result for a used C8 ZR1. Once again, GM’s latest supercar proves that when exclusivity, performance, and hype collide, buyers are willing to pay serious money in the dealer-only lanes.
The Z06 Market Isn’t Reading The Internet Comments
The SuperSeller showdown also delivered exactly the kind of drama we’ve come to expect. TAV swept the board with all three of its Z06s finding new homes, while GMTV missed perfection by just one car—the wrapped Stingray that couldn’t quite get across the finish line. That left our curated Top 7 with a stellar 6-for-7 sell-through rate, good for 86 percent. More importantly, the Z06 data continues to challenge the narrative that heavy discounts on new inventory have devastated used values.
We’ve seen dealers advertise up to $15,000 off new C8 Z06s, yet the wholesale numbers simply refuse to cooperate with the doom and gloom. TAV’s pristine 2024 Z06 Coupe 3LZ with 3,888 miles sold for $114,000, a figure our dealer notes is “nearly on par with the historical average from 12 months ago. That one metric alone gives you an indication of where the C8 Z06 market really is.” Meanwhile, the 2025 Z06 Convertible 2LZ with 6,213 miles hammered sold at $116,000, which our dealer pointed out sits $1,000 above the value from six months ago, adding that “it’s not often that the hammer syncs up perfectly with the MMR.” The next owner may love the “look at me” appeal, but enthusiasts should appreciate what the data is telling us: values have proven far more resilient than many expected.
Dallas Keeps Turning Up The Heat
If there was any doubt about the strength of the broader wholesale Corvette market, Dallas once again erased it. Another 47 of 53 Corvettes sold, producing an impressive 88.7 percent sell-through rate in the dealer-only lanes. Respectable almost feels like an understatement at this point. Dallas has now posted seven consecutive sell-through rates above 80 percent, including two straight events north of 90 percent before this latest performance. For a market that internet commentators insist is in the middle of a used C8 collapse, the real-world wholesale results continue to paint a very different picture. Dealers are still buying. Cars are still moving. And quality inventory remains highly desirable.
Modern Muscle Rules The Lanes
Finally, our generation tracking reinforces a trend we’ve been documenting since October 2025: modern Corvettes dominate wholesale activity. The C8 accounts for 228 sales, representing 51.7 percent of all Dallas transactions, while the C7 follows at 131 sales and 29.7 percent. Together, those two generations make up more than 81 percent of all Corvette movement in our database.
The C6 contributes 47 sales (10.7 percent), followed by the C3 at 15 (3.4 percent), the C4 at 11 (2.5 percent), the C5 at 6 (1.4 percent), the C2 at 2 (0.4 percent), and a lone C1 representing 0.2 percent of the action. It’s exactly what we’d expect. While the classics often enjoy the spotlight under the big auction tents, wholesale lanes are the proving grounds for the Corvettes destined to roll directly onto used car lots and into enthusiasts’ garages. And as we wrap up installment number 59, one thing remains abundantly clear: when it comes to separating headlines from reality, there is no substitute for following where the hammer actually falls.
