If you’re a regular on Corvette forums, you’ll know that every few months somebody opens a thread or posts in the comments section asking the same question: what’s the smartest used Corvette to buy right now? And for about a decade, the answer was easy. It was the C6. All variants. Pick the color you like and go.
That answer isn’t wrong anymore, but it’s gotten a lot more complicated. As of this summer, the median asking price on a C6 sits right around $22,000, with the middle half of the market falling between roughly $19,000 and $24,000 on cars carrying about 82,000 miles. Those numbers have been essentially flat for two straight quarters. Meanwhile, the C6 Z06 is averaging in the low-to-mid fifties, the very best examples are being talked about at six figures, and Hagerty put it on their 2026 Bull Market list…which is collector-speak for “this thing is about to get expensive.”
