Welcome back to another week of CorvSport hunting Corvettes in the dealer-only lanes, where the hammer falls, the numbers tell a story, and the wholesale market often reveals tomorrow’s retail reality today. We’ve now reached Episode 67 of our exclusive series, and for 31 months, our proprietary reports have helped educate thousands of enthusiasts and shoppers about the behind-the-scenes marketplace where used Corvette values are forged long before these cars hit dealer lots. Leading the charge is our resident retired dealer, whose 17 years of industry experience bring a seasoned insider’s perspective to every hammer, no-sale, and head-scratching result. We’re back with another round of real-world data, expert interpretation, and a little dealer-lane drama that no window sticker can explain.
The Top Narratives Driving Today’s Wholesale Story
1. The Wholesale Crystal Ball: Reading Between The Numbers
Wholesale auctions aren’t simply a place where dealers trade inventory; they’re an early-warning system for the broader Corvette market. The bids, buying decisions, and cars that fail to find a new home can reveal shifts in buyer confidence before those changes show up on retail lots. That’s where our resident dealer earns his keep. With 17 years of experience behind him, he knows the difference between a car that misses its number and a market that’s beginning to change direction. Episode 67 puts that experience to work once again, separating the noise from the signals that matter to Corvette owners, shoppers, and sellers.
2. Curated Top 7 Performance: From Perfect Scores To A Reality Check
Our last four Curated Top 7 reports have delivered a wholesale roller coaster with very few predictable turns. On August 13, 2026, we recorded an 86% sell-through rate; August 28 followed with 71%; September 10 roared back with a perfect 100%; and September 24 brought everyone back to earth with a dismal 43%. That’s a 57-percentage-point swing from one report to the next, and a reminder that even a carefully curated group of Corvettes can encounter dramatically different buying conditions from week to week. Yet there’s another side to this story: despite the last four reports being all over the map, we’ve recorded seven 100% sell-through rates in the last 12 months. That’s no small accomplishment in a market where every car, specification, mileage reading, and reserve can influence the outcome. Today, we’ll find out whether our latest seven selections can restore some consistency—or add another twist to the tale.
3. Rare C8 Variant, Anniversary Allure, And A Mileage Heat Check
Today’s lineup brings some intriguing hardware to the wholesale arena, including a limited-production Stingray R, a 2023 3LT Convertible that looks flawless on paper, and a 2023 70th Anniversary Special Edition 3LZ Z06 Convertible showing just 1,348 miles. The seller dealer is so impressed with the 70th spec and options that he proclaimed in the announcements, “This is as bad as it gets!!!” We’ll see whether the bidding crowd agrees. Across the full group, we have three C8 Z06s and four C8 Stingrays, giving us a useful cross-section of the eighth-generation market rather than a one-note snapshot.
Of course, our Curated Top 7 wouldn’t be complete without a heat check. None of today’s seven has an accident reported on its history report, and six carry perfect 5.0 condition reports. Those are reassuring credentials, but we’ve also got two cars that stand out on mileage: a 2020 2LT Convertible with nearly 30,000 miles and a 2023 3LT Coupe with just under 35,000 miles. We realize those figures hardly qualify as extraordinary mileage for an ordinary used car. But after years of watching C8s pass through the dealer-only lanes, we’ve learned that seeing these cars cross the 30,000-mile threshold remains relatively uncommon. These two give us a chance to test whether higher mileage creates meaningful resistance in today’s wholesale market—or whether buyers are getting more comfortable looking beyond the odometer when the rest of the package makes sense.
4. Is Dallas Hinting At A Wholesale Cooldown? SuperSeller TAV Is Ready To Find Out
With 2027 Corvettes now flooding the market, the question hanging over today’s report is whether the growing supply of new-model inventory will put additional pressure on used C8 values. Our recent Dallas Expanded Market results offer plenty to chew on. In August, we saw sell-through rates of 82.5% and 90.5%, with September opening at 78.3% and our last episode generating just 60.9%. That’s a 21.6-point swing in just four installments. Is the September softness an early warning, a temporary stumble, or simply the normal volatility of wholesale trading? Episode 67 gives us another chance to look for the answer as the 2027s make their presence felt.
One seller certainly is ready for the challenge. SuperSeller Texas Auto Value (TAV) is bringing five Corvettes to our Curated Top 7, joined by two lesser-known sellers. That makes TAV a major presence in a lineup designed to test the market, but inventory concentration alone doesn’t tell the whole story. The important question is whether the cars are positioned to move. Our resident dealer will be watching the numbers closely, because the wholesale lane has little patience for dealers who cling to yesterday’s valuations while buyers are negotiating in today’s market. TAV has another chance to show they aren’t buried in inventory or waiting for a miracle bid. They come ready to sell.
From Our Curated Top 7 To Our Extensive Database
First up, we’ll put our Curated Top 7 under the microscope, examining each Corvette’s specs, mileage, condition, value, and wholesale outcome. Then we’ll widen the lens to our Dallas Expanded Market coverage, tracking every Corvette to roll through the dealer-only Dallas lanes since October 23, 2025. That broader dataset puts individual results in context, showing whether a standout sale is part of a larger trend or simply an exception. Then we have our Corvette Generation Tracker, which illuminates the difference between the wholesale auction and big-tent retail auctions. You won’t see many classics in the dealer-only lanes.
Finally, we’ll bring everything together in Our Final Word, where the data gets its verdict. You’ll also find our complete archive of exclusive dealer-to-dealer wholesale transactions, organized in one convenient location with live links that let you dig deeper into past reports and follow the market’s evolution over time. Let’s get after Episode 67!

Top 7 Curated Spotlight: Dealer-Only Auction Activity Report
#7 — 2020 C8 Stingray Convertible 2LT
29,871 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 3 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $56,750
(Dealer Insights: Dealers didn’t blink at the slightly higher miles, and, as we used to say, this one sold “right on the money,” with the hammer price nearly identical to MMR. TAV sets the pace today with a loaded “resell red” Vert that offers great value to the next enthusiast.)
#6 — 2023 C8 Stingray Coupe 3LT
34,744 Miles
Condition Report: 4.8/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 2 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements: None
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $58,800
(Dealer Insights: These Amplify Orange C8s have been doing well in the wholesale lanes, and a seller we rarely see, Hopper Motorplex, is likely happy to see $1,000 over MMR. And, for those who think the used C8 market is crashing, look at the steady value since last year. Again, the miles are not scaring off bidders today.)
#5 — 2023 C8 Stingray Convertible 3LT
6,123 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: NO SALE
(Dealer Insights: Coming from TAV, this no-sale is a bit of a head-scratcher, and it’s likely our SuperSeller slipped up and put just a bit too much money in this rarely seen Stingray R. Or dealers simply weren’t interested in rolling the dice with this dressed-up, appearance-only package.)
#4 — 2023 C8 Stingray Convertible 2LT
4,705 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 2 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $66,000
(Dealer Insights: TAV is back in stride, hammering their second Stingray for a mere $200 above MMR. And at a number that is nearly as high as values from a year ago.)
#3 — 2023 C8 Z06 Convertible 3LZ
1,348 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 2 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $114,000
(Dealer Insights: Newcomer Bring Your Own Bids wins the award for the longest list of announcements I have ever seen, with a 70th Z06 that does, in fact, prove that it’s “as bad as it gets!!!” That said, the badassery only garnered $2,000 above MMR.)
#2 — 2025 C8 Z06 Convertible 2LZ
4,499 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $105,500
(Dealer Insights: At $4,500 under MMR, this is our deal of the day so far, proving TAV always comes ready to sell despite what “book value” says. The selling dealer will either have some great margins to take to the bank, or pass the deal on to the buyer.)
#1 — 2025 C8 Z06 Coupe 3LZ
2,738 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $111,000
(Dealer Insights: Looks like I spoke too soon on the deal of the day, with this 3LZ Coupe hammering at a remarkable $7,000 under MMR. However, TAV wasn’t phased and was in a position to move the unit and again give the selling dealer some great margins to work with.)

Our Final Word
Today’s Curated Top 7 delivered the consistency we were hoping for, with six of seven Corvettes finding new homes and only that oddball Stingray R failing to sell. As we noted, the R is essentially an appearance package, and apparently that distinction wasn’t enough to excite the wholesale crowd. More intriguing, the two other Z06s that sold went for considerably less than MMR, raising a question we’ll be watching closely: Is the C8 Z06 market beginning to soften? Meanwhile, higher mileage proved to be no deal-breaker, reinforcing our belief that dealers are becoming more comfortable looking beyond the odometer when the overall package makes sense. And with nicely optioned C8 Stingrays available in the $50,000 range, dealers have compelling reasons to stay engaged.
As for the bigger Dallas picture, the numbers suggest we’re seeing normal market fluctuations rather than an outright wholesale cooldown. This week’s 71.4% sell-through rate was respectable, while our Dallas Expanded Market has delivered a 75.7% cumulative success rate since October 23, 2025. That’s a solid foundation as 2027 models arrive in greater numbers, but those below-MMR Z06 sales give us reason to keep our eyes open. For now, the market is still moving, dealers are still buying, and sellers with realistic reserves have reason to remain optimistic. As always, our resident retired dealer will keep separating the meaningful signals from the auction-lane noise, because one week never tells the whole story. Episode 67 is in the books, the data is logged, and the hunt continues in two weeks!
