There is a moment in every Corvette’s journey when the shiny showroom story ends, and the hard reality of the market begins—and for 65 episodes, CorvSport has been standing right there to watch it happen. Our resident retired dealer, with 17 years spent on the other side of the wholesale curtain, knows exactly what happens when the hammer falls, which is why his insights after every Corvette have become such an important part of this series. These aren’t simply auction cars changing hands; they are early market signals. The wholesale number established today can help determine where a Corvette’s used-retail pricing lands tomorrow, often well before that car ever reaches a dealer’s used lot. That makes Episode 65 more than a snapshot of what sold in Dallas—it is another glimpse behind the curtain at where Corvette values may be headed next.
The Top 5 Wholesale Storylines We’re Following Today
1. A Curated Top 7 That Is Nearly Too Clean To Believe
Every once in a while, the auction gods hand us a lineup that makes you look twice—and today’s Curated Top 7 is one of those rare occasions. All seven Corvettes earned a perfect 5.0/5.0 condition report, and not one carries an accident on its record. That’s a first for our curated spotlight and a pretty remarkable foundation for this week’s collection. Better yet, the variety is outstanding, stretching from C8 Stingrays to Z06s, with a C8 Grand Sport and a ZR1 adding some serious spice to the mix. In other words, this isn’t seven versions of the same Corvette story; it is a cross-section of the modern Corvette market, all arriving in unusually clean condition.
2. The Mystery Of The 6-Mile 2027 Grand Sport
Then there is the Corvette that immediately makes you ask: Why? Today’s 2027 Grand Sport has just 6 miles, shows one owner on the Carfax, and somehow has already found its way into the dealer-only wholesale lanes. Who buys a brand-new Grand Sport and then dumps it with a wholesaler almost immediately? That’s the mystery we will be watching. Adding even more intrigue, this is only the second C8 Grand Sport that has crossed the Manheim wholesale lanes. The first was a 2027 1LT Coupe with just 8 miles, which ultimately sold for $96,000. Now we have another essentially brand-new Grand Sport entering the same arena, giving us a fascinating real-world benchmark for one of the newest and least-established C8 variants.

3. Rare ZR1 Territory
A C8 ZR1 sighting is always worth stopping the presses for, but today’s car is even more interesting because of how rarely these 1,064 hp monsters appear in the wholesale arena. Across everything we have encountered and covered, we’ve seen just two 1LZ C8 ZR1s, while only a handful of 3LZ ZR1s have made their way into the dealer-only lanes. One of those rare 3LZ examples is here today. For a wholesaler, this is where the stakes get dramatically higher: there is some serious six-digit money tied up in a Corvette like this, and there is no guarantee the wholesale market will cooperate simply because the retail market loves the ZR1. Our SuperSeller is betting that today’s ZR1 heat carries all the way through the auction block. We’ll see if the market agrees.

4. The SuperSellers Bring The Fire
Our Top 7 also gives us another great matchup between two wholesalers who know exactly what they’re doing. Texas Auto Value (TAV) is responsible for six of the seven Corvettes in today’s curated selection, while GiveMeTheVin (GMTV) brings the seventh—a C8 Z06. Both are proven SuperSellers in these lanes, and both understand one of the most important rules of wholesale: don’t get buried in your inventory. These sellers come prepared to move metal, which should make today’s curated auction action particularly interesting. With seven exceptionally clean Corvettes, two experienced wholesale players, and some very desirable hardware on the block, this could be quite a show.
5. The Bigger Picture: Will Dallas Continue To Heat Up The Wholesale Market?
And then we zoom out, because the individual ‘Vettes are only part of the story. The bigger question surrounding Episode 65 is whether Dallas can keep the Corvette wholesale market moving higher. Our last two episodes produced sell-through rates of 82.5% and 90.5%, respectively. This week brings 23 Corvettes to the lanes, so will the market maintain that momentum? Since our expanded coverage began on 10/23/2025, we have tracked an overall 76.3% sell-through rate across the 751 Corvettes offered. But there is another force working against the used market: major Chevrolet dealers are now advertising up to $15,000 off C8 Z06s, with discounts appearing across the Corvette lineup. When new-car pricing starts putting pressure on used values, the wholesale lanes usually feel it early. So the question isn’t simply how many Corvettes sell today—it is whether today’s dealers believe tomorrow’s used retail market still has room to move.
Let’s Dive Into Episode 65!
The Dallas lanes may give us the immediate temperature check, but Episode 65 is much bigger than one auction day. From our Curated Top 7 Spotlight and expanded Dallas coverage to the generation-by-generation wholesale tracker, we’re continuing to build the most complete picture possible of where used Corvette values are actually moving. And because every auction becomes another piece of the puzzle, we can now look back through our full wholesale archives dating to 2/29/2024 and compare today’s action against the history we’ve accumulated along the way. That’s what makes this series so valuable: we’re not just reporting what happened—we’re building the data trail that helps Corvette enthusiasts understand why it happened, what it means, and what could come next.

Top 7 Spotlight: Wholesale Dealer-Only Auction Activity Report
#7 — 2021 C8 Stingray Convertible 3LT
16,708 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 3 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
*Editor’s Note: These pictures are undoubtedly from an employee on his first day, so we’ll extend some grace for the odd angles.
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $68,000
(Dealer Insights: Two market indicators I always like to point out are the selling price relative to MMR and the historical trend over the last year. As you can see with our first sale from TAV, this Stingray hammered for a whopping $3,200 over MMR, and the average sale price is nearly in line with last year’s $65,700.)
#6 — 2024 C8 Z06 Coupe 3LZ
11,873 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements: Clean Carfax
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $121,500
(Dealer Insights: To say this sale from GMTV is an anomaly would be an understatement. At $12,500 over MMR, the hammer price was so high that Manheim is excluding it from future MMR valuations. I’m noticing some value-adding options like the high wing, but this one offers a collective scratching of our heads.)
#5 — 2025 C8 Stingray Convertible 2LT
11,487 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $73,500
(Dealer Insights: TAV hammers their second unit and makes wholesaling look easy! The historical average is more normal-looking with this Stingray, and while still above MMR, at least it’s more within a tolerable level, versus the pucker factor that comes with spending thousands over what Manheim’s data says you should.)
#4 — 2026 C8 ZR1 Coupe 3LZ
3,093 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 0 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $245,000
(Dealer Insights: First, kudos for the first owner putting some actual miles on this 2026 ZR1! And look at the “deal” the purchasing dealer got, at $3,000 under MMR. This TAV sale is proof that even at the wholesale level, the C8 ZR1 market is nuts.)
#3 — 2026 C8 Z06 Convertible 3LZ
335 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 0 owners, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $131,000
(Dealer Insights: Alright, we finally have an under-MMR deal for the day! As always, TAV isn’t buried in their unit and was able to hammer this one for $3,000 less than Manheim says.)
#2 — 2026 C8 Z06 Coupe 3LZ
333 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $120,250
(Dealer Insights: Sure, it’s a small sample size, but with all three of our Z06s selling today, I’d say the used Z06 market seems to be doing just fine. TAV is red hot again! And I have to chuckle a little bit and hope that the new guy figures out the camera angles; thankfully, he wasn’t assigned to all of our curated ‘Vettes!)
#1 — 2027 C8 Grand Sport Convertible 3LT
6 Miles
Condition Report: 5.0/5.0
AutoCheck History Report: 1 owner, 0 accidents
Announcements:
MMR Data:
(MMR=estimated wholesale value, based on vehicle, miles, condition, and recent auction sales)
Historical Wholesale Averages:
Auction Results: Sold for $132,750
(Dealer Insights: With such limited transactions, it’s no surprise there is no historical data for this sweet-looking Grand Sport. However, this is strong money, especially since I’m even seeing discounts off MSRP on brand-new Grand Sports.)
The CorvSport Takeaway
The questions we brought into Episode 65 didn’t stay questions for long. The Curated Top 7 delivered a perfect 100% sell-through, marking the collection’s fifth perfect score since 2/20/2026 and just the ninth 100% sell-through we’ve recorded since this series began in early 2024. Even more impressive, all three of our featured C8 Z06s found buyers, despite the growing pressure from Chevrolet dealers offering up to $15,000 off brand-new Z06s. For all the talk about discounts and softening values, the wholesale lanes continue to show us that desirable, properly represented Corvettes can still command serious attention when the right cars meet the right buyers.
The Mystery Grand Sport Gets A $132,750 Answer
As for that mysterious 6-mile 2027 Grand Sport, we still don’t know exactly why a virtually brand-new Corvette with one owner on its Carfax ended up in the dealer-only lanes—but we now know what the wholesale market thought it was worth. The Grand Sport sold for $132,750, adding another fascinating data point to what is still an incredibly small sample size. Our best theory? This may be less about a disappointed owner and more about a dealer transaction, allocation strategy, inventory decision, or simply someone realizing that a nearly untouched new Corvette could be converted into cash immediately. Whatever the backstory, the fact remains that this was only the second C8 Grand Sport we’ve seen at Manheim, following the 2027 1LT Coupe with 8 miles that sold for $96,000. That’s exactly why we love these lanes: sometimes the Corvette arrives with a story, and sometimes the auction result becomes the next chapter.
The ZR1 Market Remains Absolutely Nuts
Then there is the 2026 ZR1, and this one delivered exactly the kind of wholesale moment that makes our retired dealer’s perspective so valuable. The ZR1 hammered home at $245,000, and as our dealer put it, “Kudos for the first owner putting some actual miles on this 2026 ZR1!” More importantly, he points out the purchasing dealer’s remarkable position: $245,000 was $3,000 under MMR, making this TAV transaction a pretty compelling wholesale “deal” on a six-figure Corvette. His conclusion says it all: “This TAV sale is proof that even at the wholesale level, the C8 ZR1 market is nuts.” And that may be the perfect way to summarize Episode 65, because while social media can make it sound like the entire used Corvette market is tumbling, the actual auction lanes are telling a much more nuanced story.
The Dallas Lanes Tell A Different Story
With 18 of 23 Corvettes selling in Dallas for a respectable 78.3% sell-through, this week’s market not only held its ground—it came in above our 76.4% running total. Add that result to the 82.5% and 90.5% sell-throughs from the previous two episodes, and the Dallas market continues to defy the broad “the used market is crashing” narrative that seems to circulate so freely online. That doesn’t mean Corvette values are immune to new-car discounts, inventory pressure, or changing buyer sentiment. It means the real market is more complicated than a headline. Cars are still selling, desirable variants are still attracting buyers, and even a $245,000 ZR1 can find a dealer willing to step up when the numbers make sense. After 65 episodes—and a growing mountain of wholesale data—that is perhaps the biggest lesson of all: don’t listen only to the noise. Watch the lanes. The auction block is where the market has to put its money where its mouth is, and right now, Dallas is still giving Corvette enthusiasts plenty of reasons to keep watching.
