Check out the Top 7 'Vettes that brought nearly $2,500,000, and the Top 3 that went unsold

This rare 1963 Split Window Coupe took the top spot!

CorvSport continues to analyze the hottest collector car auction, and at this year’s Indianapolis event, Mecum showcased a remarkable 332 Corvettes, with no generation left out of the Mecum magic. And as you’ll note below, Mecum has also been remarkably consistent with their sales ratios, with Mecum Indy coming in at 70%. As a reminder, Mecum erased any doubt about who was the “undisputed” champion of collector car auctions in January of this year when their Kissimmee extravaganza hit these milestones:

  • $275,000,000: Most dollars ever achieved at a collector car auction
  • 4,383: Most vehicles ever offered at a collector car auction
  • Three consecutive years of $200,000,000 plus results: Most consistent success for any collector car auction

And here’s a recap of how spectacular Mecum is for Corvettes and why CorvSport follows this auction closely (click each for our archived coverage):

  • Kissimmee 2024: 527 Corvettes offered with 72% selling
  • Glendale 2024: 136 Corvettes offered with 64% selling
  • Houston 2024: 83 Corvettes offered with 71% selling
  • Indy 2024: 332 Corvettes offered with 70% selling

Now, let’s get after it! The Top 7 sales from this year’s Mecum Indy auction hit $2,491,500. After we show you those, we’ll give you a quick recap of the Top 3 that fell flat and did not hammer off to a new home.
