The legendary L88

After a record-setting 2024 Mecum Kissimmee extravaganza, many enthusiasts’ eyes were on Mecum’s “encore” auction, which just wrapped up in Glendale, Arizona. The numbers from Kissimmee were stunning and impossible to match, with a whopping 72% of the 527 Corvettes offered at the rural Florida event selling. The Mecum Kissimmee auction was so remarkable that we covered it extensively and have included our article archives below.

Mecum’s encore event at Glendale, Arizona, featured 136 Corvettes, ranging all generations, with the second-generation leading the charge at 47 examples offered for bidding. With 64% of the 136 Corvettes at Glendale hammering off to a new owner, Kissimmee remains the undisputed champion for 2024.

While top-dollar sales are worth noting, and we have a few on this list, there were less expensive but more interesting Corvettes at Glendale that grabbed our attention. So, without further ado, here are the top 7 most interesting Corvette sales from 2024 Mecum Glendale.

#5

$71,500

♦ Despite the community’s love-hate relationship with these retro-conversions, they have become more popular and are bringing good money as of late.

#4

$154,000

♦ This was the cheapest of two Z06s that hammered at Glendale (with only seven total C8s), and with only 89 miles and a fully intact warranty, the $154,000 seems to be an indication the C8 Z06 market is cooling off. While both Z06s hammered off to new owners, only two of the entry-level Stingray models sold, for an overall C8 sales percentage of 57%.

$181,500

♦ Meet one of the rarest first-generation Corvettes, 1 of only 15 in the mesmerizing Corvette Copper color. Offered in 1955 only, Corvette Copper Metallic is one of the least-produced Corvette colors. For a full CorvSport feature on the most and least popular colors, click here.
