If there is any doubt about who the new champion of collector car auctions is, let this graphic below sum it up for you. I, too, used to be dazzled and mesmerized by the bright lights of Barrett-Jackson, but Mecum has snuck up on them and taken the reins in ten rounds. This domination was especially apparent with the herds of Corvettes that flocked to rural Kissimmee, all vying for the attention of possible suitors.

As we approached the end of 2023, 465+ Corvettes had already found their way to this year’s extravaganza, with all 8 generations being represented, and that number grew to a whopping 527 by the time the first hammer fell on January 2nd. And what an eclectic range of Corvettes we had, with the most expensive in the millions while the cheapest was a 1990 C4 Convertible that brought a budget-friendly $4,950.

Just how many of those 527 sold?

A remarkable 72%!

Before we get into the impressive Top 10 Corvette sales from this year’s Kissimmee auction, let’s take a quick look at the auction’s overall performance. This graphic that went out on an email blast today speaks for itself.

A big thanks (and congratulations) to Mecum for providing this platform that brings passionate enthusiasts together with motivated sellers. Now, onto our top 10 Corvette sales from this year’s impressive Mecum Kissimmee auction.

Honorable Mention

Many speculated this spectacular L88 Coupe would have brought around a cool million, but despite it being listed as sold, no actual hammer price is listed.
