The great recession continued to impact Corvette production in 2010. A total of only 12,194 Corvettes rolled off the end of the assembly line for the 2010 production model year, down 28.1% from 2009’s already paltry 16,956 units. From a variant perspective 2010 saw the introduction of the Grand Sports both a coupe and convertible.

2010 Production Volume by Model Variant

The Grand Sport Coupe was the most popular model at 3,707 units (30.4%) while the regular Corvette Coupe was second at 3,054 units (25.1%). The Z06 was the least popular Corvette sold with just 518 units making up 4.3% of production. The ZR1 outsold the Z06 in its second year of production by 3 to 1. 1,577 supercharged Corvettes left Bowling Green for a total of 12.9% of Corvette production.

Below, we have broken out the 2010 Corvette production builds by RPO codes and options so you can see how popular or rare certain options were. The production volumes are broken out by domestic coupe and domestic convertible builds. Z06 and ZR1 options are combined together (the way Chevy breaks out the reports). Black was the most popular exterior color with a 24% of Corvettes produced. Torch Red came in second with 18.4%, followed by Crystal Red at 14.1%.
