Corvette Racing’s No. 3 Corvette C8.R Finishes 4th / Sets Distance Record at the Rolex 24

Corvette Racing’s new Chevrolet Corvette C8.R earned high marks at the Rolex 24 as the team earned a fourth-place finish in the 24-hour endurance race.  The No. 3 Corvette – driven by Antonio Garcia, Jordan Taylor and Nicky Catsuburg – piloted the No. 3 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Corvette C8.R during those twenty-four, nearly incident free, hours.  In that time, the trio completed 785 laps around the massive track, driving a total of 2,794.6 miles – the longest distance ever driven by any Corvette entry in the history of the Rolex 24 event!

The No. 3 C8.R led the GTLM class twice during the course of the race and remained in contention for victory throughout most of the event. The team’s performance throughout the 24 hour race showed the world the potential of the mid-engine Corvette C8.R.  The race car, which was developed simultaneously with the 2020 Corvette Stingray, proved that the car had the ability to run wide-open for an extended period of time and still finish strong at the end of the event.
