Listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe combines one of the most recognizable C2 Corvette designs with a desirable fuel-injected V8 and four-speed manual transmission. Originally delivered to Rahway Auto Supply and Service in Rahway, New Jersey, the car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020 and subsequently underwent an extensive refurbishment.
Its fiberglass body was originally finished in Silver Blue and received a fresh refinish in May 2022. The restoration also included re-chromed bumpers and door handles, along with polished exterior brightwork. Signature styling details include concealed flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad taillights, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust outlets integrated into the rear valance.
The Corvette rides on silver-finished 15-inch steel wheels equipped with three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and 205/75 Hankook Kinergy ST tires installed in December 2022. Suspension and steering updates completed in January 2023 included replacement AC Delco shocks, a new center link, and a power-steering conversion. Stopping power comes from four-wheel drum brakes, which were overhauled in October 2022 with a replacement brake kit and refurbished master cylinder.
Inside, the cabin features twin bucket seats trimmed in Dark Blue vinyl, complemented by replacement door panels. The original-style interior equipment includes a heater, AM/FM radio, analog clock, and lap belts. The clock was refurbished in 2021, while the shifter received attention the following year.
At the heart of the Corvette is its 327-cubic-inch L84 small-block V8, distinguished by Rochester mechanical fuel injection and a high-lift camshaft. Factory-rated at 360 horsepower, the engine received significant mechanical attention in 2022, including a rebuilt fuel-injection unit and replacement fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump, alternator, radiator, and mufflers.
Power reaches the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox and Positraction limited-slip differential, preserving the engaging mechanical character that helped make the C2 Corvette a landmark American performance car.
