Currently offered for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe is a custom-built restomod completed in 2024 after being acquired by the Petersen Automotive Museum in 2017. The car was originally promoted as the grand prize for a 2025 museum giveaway, the sweepstakes winner opted for a cash payout, and the museum retained the car.
Finished in silver over a brown-accented interior, it features a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 with Jenvey electronic fuel injection and eight individual throttle bodies, paired with a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a C4-style rear differential.
The fiberglass body was refinished and retains factory split-window styling, with flip-up headlights, fender vents, quad taillights, chrome bumperettes, and dual center exhausts. Schott alloy wheels measuring 17″ up front and 18″ at the rear wear Nitto tires, and the chassis has been upgraded with C4-style suspension components, QA1 coilovers, Hyperco springs, power steering, and Wilwood disc brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.
Inside, the cabin is outfitted with a custom roll bar, bolstered bucket seats, Simpson harnesses, and a center console with custom upholstery. Modern amenities include air conditioning, power windows, Bluetooth-equipped audio with an amplifier, and aftermarket instrumentation.
The LS3 V8 is supported by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, stainless headers, and a dual exhaust system. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through the six-speed manual gearbox and upgraded differential, creating a performance-focused interpretation of the iconic C2 split-window Corvette.
