Hard to Have More Fun

There are few things that pain us more than seeing a beautiful Corvette meant to be driven sitting around collecting dust in some garage. That’s why the video below of the 1963 Corvette spinning its tires on some cold wet pavement in the snow gives us deep joy. The video, which was shot in 2016, recently resurfaced on the Web and has all Corvette fans cheering.

The car is a 1963 Corvette Grand Sport that’s very rare (Chevy made only five). The car is valued at $10 million, according to GM Authority. The video was shot at Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum during its Demo Days. The museum is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which as you probably know gets snow from time to time. Instead of canceling its demo days due to weather, the museum allowed the cars to be driven.

As you can see, the results are wonderful. The Grand Sport slides around as you’d expect. While we’re sure the museum owners were nervously sweating on the sidelines, the car looks to be a blast. You can see the driver smiling and having a good time. It’s crazy that the nearly priceless car would be driven in the snow just for fun, but we’re glad to see the car being used in some capacity.

We tip our hats to the museum and to all Corvette owners who don’t baby their prized possessions too much. It’s important to keep a Corvette nice and cherish it, but it’s a shame to let it sit in a garage all the time. Get out there and drive.
