Corvette Of The Day: 2007 Chevrolet Callaway Corvette

This 2007 Callaway Corvette was custom built for a Callaway dealer in the United Arab Emirates and was featured in Callaway’s marketing and sales material for the 2008 lineup.

This Corvette comes finished in what is called as “BlackGold,” featuring a Dark Metallic Brown base with Gold Metallic accents on the hood bulge and rear valance. The wheels, manufactured by Dymag, are two-piece and utilize a forged magnesium center section with a carbon fiber shell. The eight-spoke centers have been matched to the finish, but some areas of the clear coat on the carbon fiber exhibit bubbling.

Equipped with the Le Mans GT brake package, the car boasts 14″ two-piece rotors at both the front and rear. The front end is fitted with six-piston, contour-machined forged calipers, while the rear features similar four-piston units.

Developed in collaboration with Eibach, the Multi-Pro suspension package consists of threaded alloy-bodied coilovers. These coilovers offer ten clickable positions for rebound and damping adjustment.

The interior, trimmed in black leather, largely retains its stock configuration, with the exception of a short shift kit and the inclusion of a roll bar.

According to Callaway’s specifications, the 6.0L LS2 V8 engine generates 616 bhp at 6,200 rpm and 582 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via 6-speed manual transaxle.
