  • This custom-built C3 Chevrolet Corvette race car was campaigned during the 1972 SCCA season by Peter Ritsos before the late Joe Pirotta acquired it in 1973. Pirotta made his debut in the car at the 12 Hours of Sebring, and then raced it over the next 40 years. Power is provided by an aluminum 427ci V8 mated to a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes a removable hardtop, widened bodywork, functional fender vents, four-wheel disc brakes, staggered American Racing-style wheels, and side pipes as well as a roll cage, Hurst shifter, Simpson racing harness, Holley four-barrel carburetor, dry-sump oiling system, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. A refurbishment was conducted in the 2010s, and the car was refinished in red. It was first offered on BaT in April 2023.
