It’s that time again! Let’s go bargain hunting! How much money will it take to get the last front-engine manual Corvette ever made? This is one of CorvSport’s more insightful exclusive market features–what is more fun than finding out if there are any deals in the nationwide Corvette market?!? I’m excited about our top find today, a one-owner no-accident gem in the color that us dealers used to call in the business, resell red! [Author’s Note: This article is FREE and not behind a paywall. Yes, FREE! If/when any pop-ups appear, please click to dismiss them and continue enjoying the article. One may require two steps–first, the arrow on the left, then the x on the top right.]

For CorvSport’s exclusive Bargain Hunting series, we search one of the largest online sales platforms, Autotrader. While we don’t have any affiliation with Autotrader, they have been the go-to site for new and used vehicles for decades–remember the magazine-style listings you had to pick up at the corner store? During my 17 years as a used-car dealer, I always had my vehicles on Autotrader. Lastly, the majority of the time I cross-check sites like CarGurus and Cars.com, the same Corvettes are advertised on each site–which is common overkill for mid to large-sized dealerships.

Before we dive in, here are some interesting factoids from my research:

  1. Total C7s for sale nationwide on Autotrader: 1,740
  2. Total C7s for sale nationwide with a manual transmission: 367
  3. Percentage of manual C7s: 21%
  4. C7s with a clean title: 1,692
  5. C7s with a branded title (severe accident, theft recovery, buyback): 48
  6. Percentage of C7s with a branded title: 2.8%
  7. Total C7s for sale nationwide with a clean title and manual: 361 (6 branded)
