The ZR1X builds on the brand’s legacy of extreme acceleration while pushing the ceiling even higher. That point was proven the moment when Chevrolet released verified drag strip results for the Corvette ZR1X. With no marketing gloss and no excuses, Chevrolet sent the car down the strip and let the stopwatch deliver the verdict.

During official testing, the Corvette ZR1X tore through the quarter mile in 8.675 seconds at a trap speed of 159 mph, a result that places it squarely in the realm of multi-million-dollar hypercars. Even more startling was the launch: the ZR1X sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.68 seconds, covering less than 100 feet while generating a staggering 1.75 g of acceleration.

This level of performance comes from a hybrid drivetrain that pairs a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter LT7 V8 with an electric motor mounted on the front axle. The combined output totals 1,250 horsepower, delivered to all four wheels for maximum traction off the line. Importantly, the run was completed in standard aero configuration, using factory tuning and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires—no special setups or one-off tricks.

Chevrolet also confirmed  multiple back-to-back quarter-mile runs, all stopping the clocks in under 8.8 seconds—clear evidence of just how composed and repeatable the platform truly is. According to General Motors leadership, this is the performance potential that was unlocked when Corvette adopted a mid-engine layout.
