Listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe underwent a complete custom build at Hot Rod Garage in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Completed in 2023, the car’s custom craftsmanship earned accolades, including the 2023 Goodguys Chevrolet Performance GM Iron Builder of the Year and a Chip Foose Design Award.
During the build, its body was stripped and refinished in Ferrari Grigio Alloy, with extensive modifications including shaved emblems, filled vents, reshaped hood and fender openings, and a redesigned rear valance with dual center-exit exhausts. Custom features include Porsche 356 mirrors, Jaguar door handles, LED lighting, and a Detroit Speed electric headlight door kit. A smoothed matte blue firewall matches the custom-painted inner fenders and radiator panel.
Underneath, a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis with hand-fabricated boxed steel rails supports Fast Track independent suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, and RS SV coilovers. Custom 18-inch 20-spoke wheels by Atomic Machine wear satin bronze centers and are paired with Nitto NT555 G2 tires. Stopping power comes from Baer six-piston disc brakes with 14-inch rotors, along with an E-Stopp electric parking brake.
Inside, Chuck Rowland’s custom interior features blue leather low-back bucket seats with white stitching, wood accents, German square-weave carpeting, and white leather headliner. Amenities include Vintage Air climate control, Bluetooth audio, USB ports, LED lighting, power windows/locks, and a custom wood shift knob.
Power comes from a Don Hardy-built 416ci LS3 V8, producing 620 hp, equipped with dual drive-by-wire throttle bodies, a Cross-Ram intake, custom headers, and a stainless steel exhaust system. A Bowler T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission, McLeod clutch, and Ford 9-inch rear end with a Detroit Truetrac differential complete the drivetrain.
