Now listed on Bring a Trailer, this 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 demonstrates how far the Corvette has evolved since adopting a mid-engine architecture. While the standard C8 Stingray already delivered genuine supercar performance, the Z06 transforms that platform into a far more focused machine, reviving the legendary designation with an emphasis on track capability, engine character, and aerodynamic performance.
This example is specified with the 3LZ Equipment Group and Z07 Performance Package and has covered just 35 miles, retaining factory protective coverings throughout the cabin. Finished in Black with Carbon Flash carbon-aero components, it features a high-wing rear spoiler, dive planes, ground effects, black exhaust outlets, and a transparent removable roof panel.
At the center of the Z06 experience is Chevrolet’s naturally aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 V8, an engine developed around a flat-plane crankshaft and designed to operate at an extraordinary 8,500 rpm. Factory-rated at 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, the LT6 became the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 fitted to a production car at the time of its introduction. Its high-revving character is paired with a distinctive exhaust note and a driver-selectable performance exhaust system. Power reaches the rear wheels through a Tremec TR-9080 eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and an electronic limited-slip differential. Chevrolet claimed a 0–60 mph time of approximately 2.6 seconds and a top speed approaching 189 mph, figures that firmly place the Z06 among serious performance machinery.
The Z07 package further sharpens the chassis with specially calibrated Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, and Bright Red calipers. A front-axle lift system adds usability, while the carbon-aero package increases aerodynamic authority at higher speeds. Its aggressive proportions are complemented by staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged aluminum wheels wrapped in 275/30 front and 345/25 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.
Inside, heated, ventilated, power-adjustable GT2 bucket seats combine Jet Black leather with suede microfiber inserts and Adrenaline Red stitching, complemented by Torch Red seatbelts. A carbon-fiber and suede-wrapped steering wheel, configurable digital cluster, head-up display, Performance Data Recorder, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and high-definition cameras reinforce the car’s driver-focused character. Infotainment is handled by Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system.
With its virtually untouched condition, exotic naturally aspirated powertrain, Z07 hardware, and extensive carbon components, this Z06 captures the C8’s transformation from accessible sports car into a legitimate American supercar contender.
