Chevrolet has just unveiled the C8 Corvette ZR1X, a groundbreaking evolution of the ZR1 that adds all-wheel drive and advanced hybrid technology to what is already one of the most extreme Corvettes ever built.

Borrowing the E-Axle from the E-Ray and pairing it with a reworked LT7 V8, the ZR1X delivers a staggering 1,250 horsepower and a sub-2-second 0–60 time. The ZR1X features a redesigned chassis with two setups: a street-friendly version and a hardcore ZTK track package. The ZTK variant includes Cup 2R tires, stiffer suspension, and high-downforce aero.

Both setups retain the widebody layout and massive 345-section rear tires. Braking gets a significant upgrade with Alcon’s 10-piston carbon-carbon setup—the first ever on a production Corvette. Originally developed for the ZR1X, these brakes are now being offered on 2026 ZR1s as well.

A new torque strategy enables the electric motor to provide boost during corner exits and push-to-pass functions, while still disconnecting past 160 mph for pure V8 propulsion.
