Supercharged 2006 Corvette Z06 Versus 2020 Aston Martin Vantage

Supercharged 2006 Corvette Z06 Drag Versus 2020 Aston Martin Vantage

The guys from Hoonigan teamed up with their friends at throtl to see if a supercharged 2006 Corvette Z06 can keep up with a twin-turbo Aston Martin Vantage that costs 4x more. Hit the video to find out!

This particular Corvette Z06 was built by the folks at Hoonigan and installed an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger on top of the 7.0L LS7. It also features a Magnaflow exhaust system and some carbon fiber bodywork especially on its  composite hood, roof, and rear duck bill spoiler. It’s competition though is also a monster on its own.

Another edge that the Corvette has over the Aston Martin is that is more lightweight. The Z06 tips the scales at 3,100 pounds while the Vantage weighs 3,800 pounds. However, the Aston Martin has a big advantage over the Corvette thanks to its  quick 8-speed automatic transmission, as compared to the six-speed manual in the Corvette.

It’ll be interesting to see just how a supercharged Z06 can stack up against a modern Aston Martin.
