Our top Corvette, that beautiful 1978 Pace Car, was first featured by us 9 months ago. Sometimes, 9 months can feel like a long time, and sometimes, years seem like they go by in a flash. But, I can tell you that as someone who has sold vehicles for 17 years as an owner/operator, 9 months is an eternity when trying to move metal.

Sure, these are collector-grade Corvettes, looking for just the right buyer and not your typical A to B transportation. But that dynamic does not change the reality of having tens of thousands of cash tied up in an asset that is designed to yield profit. And while many dealers do use floor plans to finance their inventory, that just opens up a new can of worms, like large interest fees, partial-payment deadlines, and evitably full payment (which usually occurs in months, not years).

As they say, the market has spoken, at least with these Queens, it has.
