If you’re an avid enthusiast like me, and I suspect you are, you’ve been seeing 2025 ZR1 deliveries trickling into owners’ hands across social media. Each of these moments is special and fun to witness in real time, as this historic 1,064 HP creation from GM becomes a reality for owners. Not to be outdone, just days ago, the National Corvette Museum proudly announced to the community that they, too, are making history. [Author’s Note: This article is FREE and not behind a paywall. Many of you enthusiasts are familiar with the National Corvette Museum’s delivery program, known as RPO R8C, where the NCM gives Corvette buyers the red carpet treatment. But for those who aren’t, when buying a brand-new Corvette, enthusiasts have the ability to check off box R8C, and feel like a rock star when taking delivery of their dream–it’s kind of a big deal! Every moment is live-streamed while their dream sits under the lights, and new owners are welcomed to the NCM with special signs commemorating the event. Among other cool features, a personal, special VIP guided tour of the NCM is conducted by a member of the museum, and the new owner will have the thrilling experience of viewing their new Corvette on display in the lobby of the Museum. RPO R8C customers will also receive a unique gold decal placed on the inside of the driver’s door jamb, a personalized interior dash plaque, a personalized wall plaque, and an individual photograph in front of the Museum.
