In 2011, Chevrolet introduced the limited-production Z06 Carbon, combining the ZR1’s chassis and suspension components with the Z06’s 505-horsepower LS7 V8 to create one of the most balanced Corvettes of its era.
Just 252 examples of the Carbon Z06 were built and features the same Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes as the ZR1, distinguished by model-specific dark gray metallic calipers. It also adopted the ZR1’s 20-spoke wheels, finished in black for a more aggressive look, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires developed specifically for the Z06 and ZR1.
For the first time on a Z06, Magnetic Selective Ride Control and an enhanced cooling system were included. The package was rounded out with a carbon-fiber hood, additional carbon-fiber aerodynamic components, and a leather interior trimmed in suede with unique contrast stitching.
Available only in Supersonic Blue or Inferno Orange Metallic, this example—finished in the latter—shows just 350 kilometers and is currently listed on SBX Cars. It is one of 86 finished in Inferno Orange Metallic and one of only 11 equipped with the 1LZ package.
The Ebony and suede interior features orange contrast stitching, a unique Z06 Carbon steering-wheel badge, special sill plates, and embossed headrests. Equipment includes dual-zone climate control, power accessories, cruise control, a six-speed manual gearbox, engine and transmission coolers, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, magnetorheological suspension, and 20-spoke black aluminum wheels.
