Now offered for sale on Bring a Trailer is a 1963 Corvette Grand Sport recreation built on a custom tubular chassis, it uses C4 Corvette front and rear suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, coilovers, sway bars, and four-wheel disc brakes to deliver sharp handling and real-world comfort.
Power comes from a genuine Lingenfelter LS6 V8 producing 500 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, backed by a six-speed manual transmission. The drivetrain is matched to a 3.45 rear gear, allowing low RPM highway cruising while remaining aggressive under acceleration. Side-exit exhaust completes the experience with the proper Grand Sport sound and presence.
The exterior closely replicates the original Grand Sport developed by Zora Arkus-Duntov, featuring flared fenders, recessed headlights with covers, stainless and polished aluminum accents, brake duct detailing, French-style taillights, and a faux differential cooler. Paint quality is excellent throughout, with straight body lines, clean glass, and consistent panel fit. Halibrand-style 17” wheels house C4-style disc brakes at all four corners.
Inside, the custom interior includes power-adjustable seats, power windows, a one-off fiberglass dash, Autometer gauges, red accent detailing, a suede headliner, and a tilt steering column. Vintage Air provides modern climate control.
