Our first featured Corvette last week was a phenomenal 2000 horsepower creation, but this hybrid Z06 has enthusiasts on Facebook doing double takes. I’ve been around the Vette culture for decades and haven’t...

Douglas caught the Corvette affliction in 1999 at 31 when he bought his first brand new Fixed Roof Coupe. Since then, he has owned 20 Corvettes, the most recent being his third FRC, a 2000 model in the same color as the first two. Douglas recently traded his 2000 FRC to feed his new car smell addiction, and he hopes when you read his pieces, you will sense his genuine passion for all things Corvette.
One of the top generations actually surprised me, but more on that in a moment. First, a few stats that may not surprise you, given the “provenance” of the iconic Monterey festivities, held at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa – Del Monte Golf Course – August 17-19, 2023. 1)...
Today we are going to take a deep dive into the transmission setup Carl will be using for this 10-second turbo C3, including custom coding from Carl for the transmission controller. Carl also provides another wild video, with the custom-coded controller working flawlessly with the turbo-charged LS engine and transmission....
Welcome to the new series where I highlight interesting and cool Corvettes for sale on Facebook. Our first featured vehicle could be considered a Facebook miracle, because with nearly 400 reactions there are only two lol emojis mixed in with the positive ones. This is so remarkable I’m going to...
In part one, I covered the reports from industry research companies, specifically J.D. Power and Consumer Reports. There was some very positive and encouraging news for the Corvette, namely how the C8 has won the J.D. Power Highest Initial Quality (IQS) award for three straight years! Click here for more...
Despite some of the reported issues with the eighth-generation Corvette, like a plethora of check engine lights (feature here), transmission issues (click for link), and a profusion of owner complaints (54 listed here), we certainly do not try to be all doom and gloom here at Corvsport, given our passion...
I’m in all the corners of the Corvette Internet world, so let me do the legwork for you. Here are the top stories from the Corvette community. This is another series of news that should be helpful if you are in the market for a new Corvette. 1) C8 Stingray...
Carl B. from Middletown, NJ continues to transform this ole ’77 Stingray into a sleeper 10-second track beast, with a planned 600 horsepower to the wheels, and if you missed the part one launch click here. After a flurry of work, we will actually get our first start-up video! A...
As we wrap up production of the 2023 model year (with a possible record on the way), and approach the fifth year of cranking off C8s at the Bowling Green assembly plant, CorvSport did a deep dive into the durability and reliability of the revolutionary eighth-generation Corvette. I’ll be offering...
We are knee-deep in 70th-anniversary shows and celebrations across the Corvette community, but the must-see once-in-a-lifetime show that should be on every die-hard enthusiast’s list is the Woodward Dream Show, where you can literally see one Corvette from every year, including the only surviving 1983 C4. Don’t worry if you...
Welcome to the continuation of my DIY series, where I showcase unique restorations and builds from around our Corvette community. If you missed the prior installments, click here to watch Scot Y. repurpose a 1975 Greenwood Widebody Coupe into a custom one-off track-focused beast (with the help of a C4...

I see it nearly every day while perusing the numerous Corvette pages on social media, enthusiasts searching for MORE power! It can be a difficult decision matrix to navigate, as the power-hungry Corvette owner tries to decide on what modifications will work best for their desires. Will bolt-on mods do...
We are just weeks away from wrapping up 2023 production of the eighth-generation Corvette and are on schedule to nearly surpass the 1979 one-year production record of 53,807 Stingrays. As we approach this milestone for the beloved C8, I thought it would be interesting to show you some of the...
When I began this series showcasing this uplifting and ambitious rescue from John G. of Newburyport, MA, I had no idea how you all would respond, or how phenomenal the outcome would be. Thanks to our CorvSport community for putting your “stamp of approval” on it, with over 1100 likes/comments/shares...
As we approach year five of C8 production, many enthusiasts are approaching (or surpassing) the limits of their factory GM warranty. All Corvettes come with a standard 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain warranty. And it goes without saying, the clock starts with your “in-service date”, versus the date...
Let’s face it, the eighth-generation Corvette is still a hot product, not red-hot like the Covid-era days, but still strong, especially the reigning King of the Hill Z06. And I anticipate the 2024 E-Ray will be in the same camp, with dealers (and private sellers) utilizing high mark-ups to pad...

The third-generation Corvette has long been my favorite body style, as you just can’t deny the beautifully sculpted fenders, especially from behind the wheel. And the ’78 Pace Car is one of the top C3 designs, with that two-tone paint job and other special touches. It’s enthusiasts like John G....
The listing doesn’t indicate anything about the previous owner(s), and the first question that pops into my head is, was this 1981 Coupe stored away in hopes of a hefty profit decades later? Or, was it some kind of estate “barn find” from a hoarder type who had no goals...
Over 1,160 of our CorvSport readers have reacted, and the results for “Best Generation” are in. As I mentioned in the original piece, I knew this would (mostly) be a popularity contest, but any chance to hear from our readers is a bonus because, without you and your passion for...

As we hit the 70th anniversary of our beloved Corvette, I thought it would be interesting to put a spin on the typical “most popular” contests, like the best generation feature I’ll be wrapping on Friday. It’s understandable why one would want to highlight JUST the most popular colors, we...
When we last left off John G. had meticulously laid 5 coats of black and 4 coats of clear to this once-dilapidated 1978 Pace Car, and while waiting for the paint to harden he moves on to some other projects. If you need a review of John’s restoration or missed...
It’s hard to believe that just months ago I was doing a feature on one of Reeves Callaway’s legendary builds, where he added his personal comments, and now he is gone. Callaway passed on July 11th from injuries sustained after a fall. He was 75 years old and is survived...
I’m going to be a man of few words (yes I know gasp) and get straight to the brass tacks (or brass tax as some say). I know everybody is on pins and needles to see how much of a dent their toy budget will take. Is it a slight...
Inevitably, I know this will become a popularity contest, but the results will still be interesting. And any chance I get to engage with you all is a bonus, because without you and your passion for the Corvette, WE would not exist, and for that matter, the Corvette would not...

I know it wasn’t the moon landing or a similar historical moment, but do you remember where you were when GM revealed the revolutionary eighth-generation Corvette? I do, as I was perched by my computer in the lobby of my used car dealership, with customers shunned and door locked so...
There’s a special place in the “Corvette heavens” for enthusiasts like John, who rescue dilapidated classics like this ’78 Pace Car and bring them back to life. If you need a review of John’s restoration or missed an episode, here are the links: part one, part two, and part three....
