The Overview
The C7 Corvette ZR1 was built 2019, 2,953 cars by GM’s counts. The last front-engine Corvette and the most powerful: a supercharged 755-hp LT5 under a carbon halo hood, a coupe or convertible, manual or automatic, 212 mph.
The fastest front-engine Corvette and the last: the LT5, a 6.2-liter with a 2.65-liter Eaton supercharger and both port and direct injection, 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft, hand-built in Bowling Green, under a carbon-fiber halo hood cut around the blower. A low wing for 212 mph or the ZTK Track Performance Package’s high wing, Cup 2 tires and stiffer springs for the track, Magnetic Ride, carbon-ceramic brakes, a seven-speed manual or the eight-speed, 0–60 in 2.85 seconds, the quarter in 10.6 and a 7:04 Nürburgring claim. $119,995 as a coupe and $123,995 as a convertible, 2,953 built in one year, 2,441 coupes and 512 convertibles, and the pace car of the 2018 Indianapolis 500. In October 2026 Classic.com’s benchmarks were $160,593 for an automatic coupe and $220,516 for a manual, with manual ZTK coupes selling for $200,000 to $340,000 over the previous year, the most of any modern Corvette.

The C7 Corvette ZR1 Story
The C7 Corvette ZR1
Introduced for the 2019 model year and it was offered only for that year, the C7 ZR1 was the most powerful Corvette and the most powerful Chevrolet road car to that date, with 755 hp and 715 lb-ft from the LT5.
The C7 ZR1 was the most powerful Corvette ever made to that date and also the most technologically advanced. Corvette had a long history behind it. Even though its first generation was not the most powerful car on the market, its successors started to grow and develop more power and torque. They became more and more athletic and sportier. The C7 ZR1 model was also the last Corvette with the engine mounted in the front. It might be called the last classic ZR1 model.
Unlike its siblings, the ZR1 was easy to spot due to its hole in the hood and the carbon-fiber case for the supercharger. The engine was so tall that it couldn’t fit in the engine bay, so the designers made a cut and passed it through. If the track-package was installed, the car featured various carbon-fiber elements at the front and on the sides, plus a massive wing on the back. It was mounted on the rear panel, not on the trunk-lid. Its light-alloy wheels were unique for the ZR1, with 19 at the front and 20 for the rear axle.
Inside, Chevrolet tried to make things better than before. There was no cheap plastic anymore. Depending on the options, the ZR1 could have been fitted with Alcantara on the ceiling. Its regular sport-bucket seats could have been replaced with the race-bucket ones, which featured integrated headrests and passages for a four-point harness.
The C7 ZR1 featured an adaptive dampers system with magnetorheological shocks. The electronically controlled Limited Slip Differential helped the car corner faster than any other Corvette in history. Its 6.2-liter supercharged engine produced a massive 755 hp and 969 Nm (715 lb-ft) of torque, which were sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

2019 Corvette ZR1
Revealed in Dubai on November 12, 2017 and as a convertible in Los Angeles on November 28, the fourth ZR1 was the last word on the front-engine Corvette: the LT5, a 6.2-liter small-block with a 2.65-liter Eaton supercharger (52 percent larger than the Z06’s) and GM’s first port-plus-direct injection, making 755 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 715 lb-ft at 4,400 under a carbon-fiber halo hood cut around the intercooler, with four more radiators (thirteen heat exchangers), a new fascia, a front underwing, carbon-ceramic Brembos, Magnetic Ride and the Z06’s wide body on 19 x 10.5 and 20 x 12-inch wheels; 212 mph with the standard low wing, and with the $2,995 ZTK Track Performance Package the two-way-adjustable high wing, splitter end caps, Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and stiffer tuning for about 950 pounds of downforce, 2.85 seconds to 60, 10.6 in the quarter and a 2:37.25 production-car record at Virginia International Raceway in February 2018. It was the first ZR1 with an automatic (the eight-speed; about 2,050 cars) and, unlike the C4 and C6 ZR1s, offered as a convertible; $119,995 and $123,995 including destination, $10,000 for the 3ZR group (2,761), $6,995 for the Sebring Orange Design Package (758, with orange calipers, stripes, belts and stitching and bronze trim). VIN 001 brought $925,000 for charity at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on January 23, 2018, the car paced the 2018 Indianapolis 500 with Victor Oladipo, and Mark Reuss crashed a pace car at Belle Isle a week later.
Bowling Green built 2,441 coupes and 512 convertibles from January 2018 to June 2019, 2,077 with ZTK and 841 in Sebring Orange, on their own 800001 VIN series with a 9 for the engine. In 2026 manual ZTK coupes sold at auction for $200,000 to $340,000 against a $220,516 benchmark, automatics for $125,000 to $260,000 against $160,593.

The C7 Corvette ZR1 Buyer’s Guide
The 2019 ZR1 is a one-year car, so the buying decision is not which year but which spec: manual or automatic, ZTK or not, coupe or convertible, and how many miles. About 900 of the 2,953 have the seven-speed, and the market treats the manual as a different car; the ZTK Track Performance Package (the high wing, the Cup 2 R tires, the stiffer springs and the Magnetic Ride tuning) is the other premium, and a manual ZTK 3ZR coupe with delivery miles is the top of the C7 market.
It is also the last front-engine Corvette and the last with a manual, which is why it has held above its sticker since new. Buy on documentation and condition rather than on options: every ZR1 has the 755-hp LT5, the carbon-ceramic brakes, Magnetic Ride and the carbon aero, so the window sticker and the build sheet decide the spec and the odometer decides the price.
What a C7 Corvette ZR1 Costs Today
Auction and dealer results the site has tracked, by year; check whether a result includes the buyer’s premium, and treat asking prices and unsold high bids separately from completed sales.
The ZR1 is a collector car already: Classic.com’s October 2026 benchmarks are $160,593 for an automatic coupe, $220,516 for a manual coupe, $176,346 for an automatic convertible and $227,507 for a manual convertible, all above the $119,995–$123,995 window stickers, and the spread tells the story — about 900 of the 2,953 have the seven-speed, and the market pays $50,000 to $60,000 for it. In the year to October 2026 manual ZTK coupes sold on Bring a Trailer for $201,000 to $276,000 (a 3,000-mile 3ZR ZTK for $340,000 in January), automatics mostly $132,000 to $187,000 with delivery-mileage cars to $260,000 at GAA and $198,000 at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach, and a 258-mile manual coupe for $280,500 and a 1,000-mile manual convertible for $203,500 at Mecum Fort Worth.

How to Verify a C7 Corvette ZR1
The VIN positions, the labels, the stampings and the parts that prove a C7 Corvette ZR1 is what it claims to be, from the year pages.
Verifying a ZR1: a 9 in the eighth VIN position and an 800001-series number, the halo hood with the supercharger cover through it, the front underwing, thirteen heat exchangers, carbon-ceramic rotors (887 ZR1s had blue calipers, 758 orange), LT5 on the engine cover and 1ZR or 3ZR on the service parts label; ZTK adds the stanchion-mounted high wing, the splitter end caps, Cup 2 tires and FEB on the label, and a low-wing car with a high wing added is not a ZTK car (the stiffer suspension and the label are the test). The first manual, 800004, and the Hendrick car, 800001, are known, and the last ZR1 built has been offered at auction.

The C7 Corvette ZR1 Inspection List
What to check on a C7 Corvette ZR1 before the money changes hands, from the year pages.
Inspection: on the ZR1, the LT5’s supercharger belt and intercooler pump, the halo hood seals, heat soak on tracked cars (the thirteen exchangers help, but an automatic ZTK that has lived at track days deserves a fluid history), Cup 2 tires that age out, carbon-ceramic rotors measured not looked at, the wing stanchions and underwing for curb damage, the clutch on manuals, and the recall history by VIN (the 2019 ZR1 had an airbag-module recall in 2018). A manual ZTK coupe in Sebring Orange with the design package is the 2019 to collect and will cost double its sticker; a 3ZR automatic coupe at $140,000 is the sensible ZR1.

What Goes Wrong: The C7 Corvette ZR1’s Known Issues
The faults a C7 Corvette ZR1 is known for, the years they affect, what they look like and what the fix is. None of them should stop a purchase; all of them should be on the checklist, and a car with the paperwork for them is the one to buy.
| ISSUE | YEARS | WHAT HAPPENS | THE FIX |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airbag sensing module | 2019 | A recall on about 490 early cars: hard braking or acceleration could put the module into a fault state. | A dealer reprogram; check the VIN for completion. |
| 8L90 automatic shudder | 2019 | The torque-converter shudder and harsh low-speed shifts GM addressed across the C7 range with fluid and software. | The updated Mobil 1 LV ATF HP fluid flush and the latest calibration; a car that still shudders after both needs a converter. |
| Wheel cracking | 2019 | The forged aluminum wheels on the Z06, Grand Sport and ZR1 bend and crack on bad pavement; the subject of two class actions. | Inspect every wheel inside and out; budget for replacements on a car with curb or pothole history. |
| Heat on track | 2019 | The ZR1’s 13 heat exchangers cured the Z06’s heat-soak problem for most owners; hard track use in hot weather can still bring reduced power. | Ask for track history and the oil-change record; a tracked ZR1 should have the dry-sump checked hot and running. |
| Carbon-ceramic rotors | 2019 | Standard on the ZR1 and very expensive to replace; they wear by weight, not thickness. | Have the rotors weighed at a dealer; a set of four is a five-figure job. |
| Cup 2 R tires (ZTK) | 2019 | The ZTK’s Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires age out quickly and are poor in the wet and cold. | Check date codes; many cars have been switched to Cup 2s or Pilot Sport 4S for the road. |
The C7 Corvette ZR1 Options and Editions That Matter
What moves the price of a C7 Corvette ZR1 beyond mileage and condition: the packages, the equipment groups and the special editions, and what each does to the value.
MORE: THE SPECIAL EDITIONS / MSRP BY YEAR
| OPTION OR EDITION | WHY IT MATTERS | WHAT IT DOES TO THE PRICE |
|---|---|---|
| Seven-speed manual (M7) | About 900 built; the market pays a large premium for it and it is the last manual Corvette. | The biggest single premium in the C7 market. |
| ZTK Track Performance Package | The high wing, Cup 2 R tires, stiffer springs, the Magnetic Ride tuning and the front splitter end caps. | A clear premium, more on manual cars. |
| 3ZR equipment group | The full interior, the competition seats and the PDR; most cars have it. | Expected on a collector car; its absence costs more than its presence adds. |
| Sebring Orange Design Package | The launch color with orange brake calipers, seat belts and stitching. | A modest premium; the color is the collector’s pick. |
| Convertible | The first ZR1 convertible. | Trades below the coupe at the same mileage, which makes it the entry point. |
| Delivery mileage | A large share of ZR1s were bought to keep; sub-1,000-mile cars are common at auction. | Mileage drives the ZR1 market more than any option. |
What a C7 Corvette ZR1 Costs to Own
A ZR1 is a Corvette to run, not a supercar: the LT5 takes Mobil 1 on a dry sump (about ten quarts), the oil change is a dealer or specialist job on a car under its remaining warranty, and parts are shared with the Z06 except the LT5 itself and the carbon pieces. The expensive items are the carbon-ceramic rotors, the ZTK’s Cup 2 R tires (which last a few thousand miles) and the carbon aero, which is costly to repair after a parking-lot tap.
Insure it on an agreed value; the ZR1 has stayed above its sticker, and a standard policy will not pay what one costs to replace. Most owners drive them little, so budget for tires by age, a battery tender and a fuel stabilizer rather than by mileage.

What is a C7 Corvette ZR1 worth today?
Manual ZTK coupes traded at $200,000 to $340,000 in 2026 (benchmark about $220,000); automatics $125,000 to $260,000. The Values table has the results the site tracks.
What is the ZTK package on the 2019 ZR1?
The $2,995 ZTK Track Performance Package: the adjustable carbon high wing (about 950 pounds of downforce), front splitter end caps, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and stiffer springs and Magnetic Ride tuning. 2,077 of the 2,953 ZR1s had it; the standard low wing is the 212-mph configuration.
Was the 2019 ZR1 available as a convertible and an automatic?
Both for the first time on a ZR1: 512 convertibles were built against 2,441 coupes, and the eight-speed automatic was offered beside the seven-speed manual. The manual ZTK coupes are the ones collectors pay most for.

Which 2019 ZR1 should I buy?
A manual if you can afford the premium and will drive it, an automatic if the car is for the straight line (it is quicker) or for the price. ZTK for a collector or a track car, the standard aero for the road. Check the recall, the wheels and the rotors, and buy the lowest-mileage documented car the budget allows.
Is the C7 ZR1 reliable?
Yes by supercar standards: the LT5 is an LT4 with a bigger supercharger and more cooling, and the recall list is one airbag reprogram. The known items are the 8L90’s shudder, the forged wheels and heat under sustained track use.
Will the 2019 ZR1 keep its value?
It has so far: the last front-engine Corvette and the last manual, 2,953 built, trading above its $119,995 sticker in 2026. Manuals and ZTK cars have led. No one can promise a market, but the ingredients that made it a collector car do not change.
