The Overview
The C8 Corvette ZR1 was built 2025–2027, 1,733 cars by GM’s counts. The most powerful car General Motors has ever sold: the Z06’s flat-plane V8 with two turbochargers for 1,064 horsepower, 233 mph on the road wheels, a coupe or convertible, from $174,995.
The first turbocharged Corvette and the fastest American production car. The LT7 is the Z06’s flat-plane LT6 with two turbochargers, port injection added and a strengthened bottom end, hand-built in Bowling Green: 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft, the most powerful American production V-8. The body carries a split rear window, a halo hood like the C7 ZR1’s, carbon-ceramic brakes and, with the ZTK package and carbon aero, a high wing and Cup 2 R tires; without it the ZR1 ran 233 mph at Papenburg with the chief engineer driving. 0–60 in 2.3 seconds, the quarter in 9.6, from $174,995 in 2025, $182,395 in 2026 and $197,195 in 2027. 180 were built in the short 2025 year and about 1,553 in 2026, and every one has sold over sticker: Classic.com’s benchmarks in October 2026 were $284,294 for a 2025 and $294,306 for a 2026, with dealers asking $243,000 to $420,000.
This page has every model year of the C8 Corvette ZR1 in its own section with the year page’s account, the specs, the numbers and the posts; the figures by year; the colors; how it compares to its siblings; the site’s guides, videos and news; and a buyer’s guide: which year to buy, what to pay, how to verify one, what goes wrong and the site’s market reports. The Corvette ZR1 guide has the whole line across every generation.
The C8 Corvette ZR1 Story
The C8 Corvette ZR1: 1,064 Horsepower
The ZR1 came back on July 25, 2024 as something the badge had never been: a turbocharged Corvette. The LT7 is the Z06’s 5.5-liter flat-plane-crank DOHC V-8 rebuilt for boost, with two 76-mm ball-bearing turbochargers in the exhaust manifolds, electronic wastegates and an anti-lag calibration, new heads and ports, a second port-injection fuel system and forged internals, for 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft at 6,000, the most powerful V-8 an American manufacturer has put in a production car, hand-assembled at the Performance Build Center in Bowling Green and sent to the rear wheels through a strengthened eight-speed dual-clutch. The Z06’s wide body carries a flow-through hood for the intercooler, carbon brake ducts in the wishbone bezels, turbo intakes on the hatch and, on the coupe, the first split rear window since 1963; carbon-ceramic brakes and Magnetic Ride are standard, and the ZTK package with the carbon aero adds the high wing, dive planes and Cup 2 R tires for more than 1,200 pounds of downforce. GM’s figures are 2.3 seconds to 60, 9.6 seconds at 150 mph in the quarter and 233 mph; chief engineer Tony Roma ran 233.5 mph at Papenburg in October 2024. Priced at $174,995 in January 2025, built from April 28 after the plant retooled for the wide body, 180 were made in the short first model year (VIN 001 brought $3.7 million for the American Red Cross), about 1,553 in 2026, and the 2027s followed in June 2026.

2025 Corvette ZR1
The ZR1 came back on July 25, 2024, and it came back as something the badge had never been: a turbocharged Corvette. The LT7 is the Z06’s 5.5-liter flat-plane-crank DOHC V-8 rebuilt for boost — two 76-mm ball-bearing turbochargers in the exhaust manifolds with electronic wastegates and an anti-lag calibration, new heads and ports, a second port-injection fuel system, forged internals — for 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft at 6,000, the most powerful V-8 an American manufacturer has put in a production car, hand-assembled at the Performance Build Center in Bowling Green and sent to the rear wheels only through a strengthened eight-speed dual-clutch. The Z06’s wide body carries a flow-through hood for the intercooler, carbon-fiber brake ducts in the wishbone bezels, turbo intakes on the hatch, a carbon splitter and rockers, standard carbon-ceramic brakes with cross-drilled rotors — the largest on a Corvette — Magnetic Ride, and on the coupe the first split rear window since 1963; the $1,500 ZTK package with the required $8,495 carbon aero package adds the high wing, dive planes, hood Gurney lip, underbody strakes, stiffer FEJ suspension and Cup 2 R tires for more than 1,200 pounds of downforce.
GM’s figures are 2.3 seconds to 60 mph, 9.6 seconds at 150 mph in the quarter and 233 mph; Chief Engineer Tony Roma ran 233.5 mph at Papenburg in October 2024, the highest speed of any car made in America, and the ZR1 and ZR1X set American production records at the Nürburgring in 2025. Chevrolet priced it on January 9, 2025 at $174,995 for a 1LZ coupe and $184,995 for the first ZR1 convertible since the 2019, $185,995 and $195,995 as 3LZs, plus a $3,000 gas-guzzler tax; VIN 001 brought $3.7 million for the American Red Cross from Rick Hendrick at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. About 310 orders were taken, the first customer cars were built from April 28, 2025 after the plant shut for the wide-body tooling, and the model year closed on July 30 with 180 built — 115 coupes and 65 convertibles including the captured test fleet, 173 of them 3LZs, 83 with ZTK, 132 with the carbon aero, 43 on carbon wheels, 37 in Black and 32 in Competition Yellow — with 101 orders carried into 2026.
The first-year cars are what dealers and Bring a Trailer call the Launch Edition; GM never did. They are the rarest C8 and the first to trade above sticker a year on: $301,000 for an 8-mile convertible in December 2025, $233,500 for a 207-mile coupe in September 2026, a Classic.com benchmark of $284,294.

2026 Corvette ZR1
The ZR1’s second model year was its first real one. After 180 cars in the thirteen weeks of its 2025, the plant built about 1,553 2026 ZR1s between July 31, 2025 and May 29, 2026 — the 101 carried-over 2025 orders among them — and the Corvette Action Center’s registry, with 1,583 cars entered including the captured test fleet, shows the shape: 990 coupes and 581 convertibles, 1,534 3LZs and 38 1LZs, 273 with the ZTK package (17 percent, against 46 in the first year, as the aero-less car found its buyers), 385 on the visible-carbon SU1 wheels, 846 on the standard Carbon Flash 20-spokes, and Black (443), Arctic White (243), Competition Yellow (158), Blade Silver (134) and Sebring Orange (133) the colors. The car itself was unchanged — the 1,064-horsepower LT7, 233 mph, the split rear window on the coupe — and took the new interior with a carbon-fiber display hood as standard, the new colors, blue calipers, and for 2026 a ZTK-exclusive brake package with ten-piston front and six-piston rear calipers; the price went up $7,200 to $182,395 and $193,395 for the 1LZ and 3LZ coupe and $192,395 and $203,395 for the convertible, including $1,995 destination and the $3,000 gas-guzzler tax, with the carbon aero at $10,495 and the carbon wheels at $13,995.
Twenty-five were built as the Stars & Steel Limited Edition for America’s 250th, with flag-inspired graphics, a Santorini Blue interior and blue calipers and highlights on the carbon aero. The 2026 ZR1 is the first Corvette in volume to trade above its sticker: Classic.com’s benchmark for it was $294,306 in October 2026, Bring a Trailer sold a 9-mile 3LZ for $320,000 in July, and dealers ask $249,000 to $320,000.

The C8 Corvette ZR1 Buyer’s Guide
The C8 ZR1 is the 1,064-hp twin-turbo one, 180 cars in 2025 and the first full year in 2026, and it is the Corvette that trades above its sticker in 2026. Buying one is a question of which car it is — standard aero, the carbon aero or the ZTK package — whether it has the carbon wheels, and what the seller paid, because the window sticker is the floor and the auctions set the premium.
The ZR1 is too new for a used-car history: the known items are the 2025 fuel-system recall it shares with the Z06, the first-year software and the dealer markup that every early car carried. Buy from the build sheet and the invoice, confirm the recall by VIN, and treat a 2025 as the collector car and a 2026 as the one to drive.

What a C8 Corvette ZR1 Costs Today
Auction and dealer results the site has tracked, by year; check whether a result includes the buyer’s premium, and treat asking prices and unsold high bids separately from completed sales.
The ZR1 in its first full year has a Classic.com benchmark of $294,306 (October 2026) for the 2026 alone — Bring a Trailer sold a 9-mile 3LZ for $320,000 on July 31, 2026, Mecum Nashville passed one at $250,000 in September, and dealers ask $249,000 to $320,000 against $193,395 to $203,395 new — and the ZR1X, with no benchmark yet, has sold for $365,000 (a black coupe, Bring a Trailer, March 2026), $452,000 (Quail Silver Limited Edition No. 19, three miles, with a $290,678 window sticker, May 2026) and $315,000 (a 1,200-mile coupe its owner had bought for $256,325), with a Stars & Steel ZR1X coupe pulled at $300,000 and a 2027 ZR1X sold $102,000 over sticker in October 2026.

The C8 Corvette ZR1 Inspection List
What to check on a C8 Corvette ZR1 before the money changes hands, from the year pages, with each year adding what is new.
2025: For the ZR1 the questions are which of the three cars it is — standard, carbon aero or ZTK (83 of 180) — whether it has the carbon wheels (43), and whether the window sticker shows the $3,000 gas-guzzler tax and the dealer’s addendum, since the first cars were sold with markups that the auction prices now reflect. For the others, the 2025 changes are cosmetic (the colors, the Jet Black-with-blue interior, the Z51 spoiler, the Z06 wheels), so a 2024 is the same car for less, and the last Artemis interiors (34 cars) and the first Jet Black-with-blue ones (691) are the rarities below the ZR1.
2026: For a 2026 the questions are the new ones: the three-screen interior’s software (Google built-in.
2027: The 2026 pages are the guide to what the carried-over Z06, ZR1 and ZR1X bring. The LS6 is the first new engine family in a Corvette since the LT7, and the first-year questions are the usual ones — early-build software, the Flint engine’s first months — with no history yet.

What Goes Wrong: The C8 Corvette ZR1’s Known Issues
The faults a C8 Corvette ZR1 is known for, the years they affect, what they look like and what the fix is. None of them should stop a purchase; all of them should be on the checklist, and a car with the paperwork for them is the one to buy.
| ISSUE | YEARS | WHAT HAPPENS | THE FIX |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fuel-system fire risk | 2025 | The August 2025 recall and stop-sale on every Z06 and ZR1. | Confirm completion by VIN. |
| First-year software | 2025–26 | The LT7’s calibration and the dual-clutch’s updates in the first months. | A car that has been back to the dealer for the updates is the better car. |
| Carbon-ceramic rotors and carbon wheels | 2025– | Both standard or optional on the ZR1, both very expensive, both damaged by track use and curbs. | Weigh the rotors, inspect the wheels. |
| Cup 2 R tires (ZTK) | 2025– | Short-lived and poor in the cold and wet. | Check date codes and tread; many owners keep a road set. |
| Dealer markups | 2025–26 | Early cars sold for tens of thousands over sticker; the used market has not refunded all of it. | Know the sticker and the invoice before you negotiate. |
| Warranty on resold cars | 2025– | GM’s policy on early resales applied to the Z06 and may apply here. | Confirm the warranty by VIN. |
The C8 Corvette ZR1 Options and Editions That Matter
What moves the price of a C8 Corvette ZR1 beyond mileage and condition: the packages, the equipment groups and the special editions, and what each does to the value.
MORE: THE SPECIAL EDITIONS / MSRP BY YEAR
| OPTION OR EDITION | WHY IT MATTERS | WHAT IT DOES TO THE PRICE |
|---|---|---|
| ZTK Performance Package | The high wing, the stiffer springs, the Cup 2 R tires and the carbon-ceramics’ track tuning. | The main premium; the 2025 ZTK cars lead the market. |
| Carbon aero package | The high wing and the dive planes without the ZTK chassis changes. | A premium below ZTK. |
| Carbon-fiber wheels | The lightest wheels GM sells. | A premium that depends on their condition. |
| 3ZR equipment group | The full interior. | Expected. |
| Convertible | The first ZR1 convertible with a retractable hardtop. | Early convertibles have sold above coupes at auction. |
| Colors and the launch spec | The first-year colors and the Z06-style stripe packages. | The site’s market reports follow which combinations bring the premiums. |
What a C8 Corvette ZR1 Costs to Own
The ZR1 runs like a Z06 with two turbochargers added: the LT7 shares the dry sump and the oil schedule, the tires and brakes are the Z06’s most expensive items made more so, and the carbon wheels and aero are costly to repair. Dealers service it; there is no independent history yet.
Insure on an agreed value: the ZR1 has traded well above sticker and a standard policy will not replace one.

What is a C8 Corvette ZR1 worth today?
See What to Pay in the buyer’s guide above: the site’s tracked auction and dealer results by year. The figures move, and the for-sale feed shows asking prices now.
How fast is the C8 ZR1?
GM ran a production car to 233 mph at the ATP test track in Papenburg, Germany, in 2024 — the fastest speed by a car from an American manufacturer — and quotes 0–60 in 2.3 seconds and the quarter in 9.6 at 150 mph. With the ZTK aero it lapped VIR in 2:22.14.
What is the ZTK package on the C8 ZR1?
The track package: stiffer springs, Magnetic Ride tuning, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and the carbon aero package (high wing, front dive planes, underbody strakes) for about 1,200 pounds of downforce; without it the ZR1 is the 233-mph car.
What is the Stars & Steel edition?

Can I buy a C8 ZR1 at sticker?
Not easily in 2026: the first-year cars sold over sticker at dealers and above that at auction, and the site’s wholesale reports show the premium holding. A 2026 standard-aero coupe is the closest to list.
Which C8 ZR1 should I buy?
A 2025 ZTK coupe for the collection (180 built), a 2026 for driving. Carbon wheels and ZTK carry the premiums; the standard car has the same 1,064 hp.
Is the C8 ZR1 reliable?
Too new to say; it shares its platform, transmission and most of its parts with the Z06, whose known items are listed on that page, and it carries the 2025 fuel-system recall. The LT7 has had no pattern failures reported in its first year.
