The 2027 Corvette Grand Sport and Grand Sport X are, on paper, the closest of siblings. Both are built around Chevrolet’s new naturally aspirated 6.7L LS6 V8, both wear the wide-body Grand Sport look, and both roll out of Bowling Green on the familiar GM Y2 platform. The obvious split is the powertrain: the Grand Sport X, successor to the E-Ray, pairs the LS6’s 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft with a front-mounted electric drive unit good for another 186 horsepower, bringing combined output to 721 horsepower with all-wheel drive. But dig into the order guide and the differences run well past the hybrid hardware.
Performance Packages

The Grand Sport offers a choice: the Z52 Sport Performance Package (RPO FEB) or the more aggressive Z52 Track Performance Package (RPO FEY). The Grand Sport X takes a different path, offered exclusively with its own Sport Performance Package (RPO FED), which bundles 275/30ZR20 front and 345/25ZR21 rear high-performance tires with retuned Magnetic Selective Ride Control. If that formula sounds familiar, it should. It closely mirrors the ZER Performance Package previously offered on the E-Ray.
Brakes and Calipers

Braking hardware is another dividing line. The Grand Sport X gets carbon ceramic brakes (RPO J57) as standard equipment, while the standard Grand Sport runs six-piston front and four-piston rear performance brakes (RPO J56). Grand Sport buyers who want the carbon ceramics must step up to either Z52 package. Caliper finishes follow suit: the ceramics come with Dark Gray Metallic calipers (RPO J6D), while the standard Grand Sport wears Black-painted calipers (RPO J6A), a finish not offered on the X at all.
Grand Sport Exclusives

Two visual upgrades stay on the non-hybrid side of the fence. The Carbon Fiber Aero Package (RPO T0F) is reserved exclusively for the Grand Sport, and the optional Red Grand Sport badging (RPO SUP) is likewise off the menu for the Grand Sport X.
Inside the Cabin

The interiors are nearly identical, with one notable exception: the head-up display (RPO UV6). It’s standard across every Grand Sport X trim, but on the Grand Sport it’s limited to 2LT and 3LT, leaving the entry-level 1LT without.
Pricing and Availability

The Grand Sport 1LT coupe starts at $88,495, while the Grand Sport X 1LT opens at $112,195 (both including destination). Grand Sport orders are already open; Grand Sport X order books open this summer.
Beyond that, the two share everything else, with exterior and interior color palettes, stripe packages, and cosmetic options carrying over between them. The takeaway for buyers: a well-optioned Grand Sport can get close to the X’s hardware for considerably less, but the hybrid drivetrain, AWD, and standard equipment count remain the real dividing line.
