Available now on Bring a Trailer is a Chevrolet C6 Corvette ZR1 finished in Crystal Red over an Ebony leather interior. As the flagship of the C6 generation and the most powerful production Corvette of its era, the ZR1 carries a supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8, extensive carbon-fiber construction, a dry-sump oiling system, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, and Magnetic Selective Ride Control.
Compared with the Z06, the ZR1 adds larger fender vents and a taller hood with a polycarbonate window displaying the supercharger. Carbon fiber is used for the roof, hood, fenders, front splitter, and rocker moldings. This example features xenon headlights, a clear engine cover, an exposed carbon-fiber roof, a carbon-fiber front splitter and side skirts, and polished quad exhaust tips.
It rides on staggered 19″ front and 20″ rear multi-spoke chrome wheels wrapped in older 285/30 and 335/25 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Magnetic Ride Control is standard, and braking comes from Brembo ceramic-composite rotors.
Inside, the car has heated and ventilated 6-way power sport seats in Ebony leather with perforated inserts and ZR1-embroidered headrests. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, head-up display, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, push-button start, and cruise control. The 3ZR package adds a Bose 7-speaker audio system, power-adjustable steering column, navigation, and additional leather trim.
Power is provided by an aluminum 6.2L LS9 V8 with a dry-sump system, rotocast cylinder heads, polymer-coated forged pistons, titanium rods, a forged-steel crankshaft, and a 2.3L Roots-type supercharger. Output is rated at 638 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque, delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual and a limited-slip differential.
