Tested here by Joe Raiti of Raiti’s Rides on YouTube, this C7 Corvette Z06 with the Z07 Performance Package represents the final chapter of America’s front-engine Corvette era. As Joe emphasizes, the C7 marks the end of a lineage stretching back to 1953, when the Corvette first established itself with a front-mounted powerplant and, from 1955 onward, V8 performance.
This 2015 Z06 captures that heritage in its purest form, equipped with a seven-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive—hallmarks of the classic American sports car. The Z06’s design remains one of Chevrolet’s most aggressive. The silver finish highlights sharp bodywork, while the Z07 package adds a carbon-fiber front splitter, extended side sills, and an adjustable rear wing.
This example receives a full Lingenfelter Performance Engineering upgrade, elevating the LT4 6.2-liter supercharged V8 beyond its factory 650 horsepower. A revised pulley, strengthened hardware, upgraded belt system, and recalibrated ECU raise output to 720 horsepower and 730 lb-ft of torque. Boost pressure climbs from 2.5 psi to 13 psi, enabling 0–60 mph in 3.2 seconds and quarter-mile passes in 10 seconds at 135 mph. Despite the added power, curb weight remains 3,514 pounds, preserving balance and responsiveness.
