Corvette Of The Day: 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C7.R Le Mans Tribute

Reportedly modified for display at the 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas, this 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 pays homage to the Corvette Racing #64 C7.R that participated in the 2018 and 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Its striking Velocity Yellow finish is complemented by C7.R-inspired elements, including Corvette Racing graphics and carbon-fiber additions such as the APR front splitter, chassis-mounted rear wing, and side skirts. Equipped with 19″ and 20″ black wheels featuring polished lips and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the car also sports a lowered Magnetic Ride Control suspension and black-finished calipers with slotted rotors at all corners.

Inside, the cabin boasts Competition Sport Seats with Jet Black leather bolsters, suede center inserts, and white stitching. Matching upholstery extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Optional carbon-fiber trim, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the 2LZ Package, offering seat heating, ventilation, power seat adjustment, auto-dimming mirrors, premium audio, and anti-theft features, enhance the interior. The dashboard showcases signatures from key figures in Corvette Racing, including Doug Fehan, Oliver Gavin, Antonio Garcia, Ron Fellows, Jan Magnussen, and Tommy Milner.

Powering this Corvette is a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 with a dry-sump oil system, factory-rated at 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The rear-wheel drive is managed by a seven-speed manual transaxle featuring automatic rev-matching and an electronic limited-slip differential. The exhaust system has been modified, featuring a Borla cross-pipe, MagnaFlow exhaust tips, and a muffler delete.
