In the early 2000s, Chevrolet revived the long-dormant Z06 option code for a new performance-focused Corvette. Originally introduced in 1963 as a discreet competition package, it came back in 2001 on the C5 generation with more power, upgraded suspension, and a lighter, stiffer body.
Later Z06 models drew heavily from Corvette Racing’s success at Le Mans, ALMS, and IMSA, evolving into a lightweight, track-ready homologation special. With a focus on handling and driver involvement, the Z06 became the American counterpart to Porsche’s GT3.
The latest C8 generation continues that tradition. From 2023 onward, the Z06 features the LT6 V8 — a flat-plane crank, DOHC, 32-valve engine producing 670 hp, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 on the market. Enhancements include magnetic adaptive damping, optional carbon-ceramic brakes, and an electronic limited-slip differential, available on both coupe and convertible versions.
This 2023 Corvette Z06 coupe, finished in Torch Red over Adrenaline Red leather, is a 3LZ example with just 810 miles. The equipment includes a removable roof panel, LED headlights, 20”/21” Spider alloy wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes, GT2 bucket seats, Bose audio, a head-up display, a performance data recorder, and dual cameras.
Offered for sale on Bring a Trailer in near-showroom condition, it gives buyers the chance to own a virtually new Z06 3LZ — one of the most accomplished American sports cars ever built.
