Chevy Designers Will be at Concours d’Elegance of America Talking About the C8 Corvette

The C8 Mid-Engine Corvette makes a surprise appearance at the 2019 NCM Michelin Bash!

Should Be Worth Checking Out

If you’ll be at the Concours d’Elegance of America on July 27, then you need to make sure to check out the Chevy talk that will feature the brand’s designers for the C8 Corvette.

From 10 am to 11 am EDT, former head of Chevrolet Design Tom Peters will discuss his career and his experiences working on the Corvette. GM Design Chief Michael Simcoe will host the event and guide the conversation so you can expect to have some good discussion and some good specific information about the Corvette and Chevy design in general.

One of the topics of discussion will without a doubt be about the shift from the front engine placement in the Corvette to a mid-engine one. This move is one of the most impactful to the overall design of the car. We would expect it to be an important part of the discussion.

Corvette Blogger says there’s actually a good chance that the C8 Corvette will be on display at the event. Seeing as how this is after the official reveal date, we’d say that it is probable. This event will take place in Troy, Michigan, so it would be pretty easy for Chevy to get a C8 Corvette to and event in its own backyard.
