  • Included a 430 Horsepower, LS3 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, stereo CD with XM radio and an auxillary MP3 jack, OnStar, leather seats, power driver seat, active handling, traction control, dual-zone A/C, keyless access/start, foglamps, tilt steering, cruise control, frontal air bags, body-color removable roof panels, a power hatch release with power pull down, and tire pressure monitor.
  • The Competition Sport Special Edition had gray stripes, wheels and headlamps, ebony interior with titanium stitching, racing pedals, a special engine cover, and other specifics. Racing numbers, uninstalled, were based on the VIN sequence. Coupes included the Z51 Performance Package, the ZPP exhaust package, the differential cooler and the heads-up display.
  • Coupes came with either a white or black exterior.

GT1 Championship Edition Coupe (1YY07)

  • Base price of the 2009 GT1 Championship Ed. without optional equipment.

ZR1 Corvette (1YY87)

  • Base price of a ZR1 Corvette without any optional equipment.
  • Included a 638 Horsepower, LS9 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, stereo CD with XM radio and an auxillary MP3 jack, OnStar, leather seats, power driver seat, active handling, tranction control, dual-zone A/C, keyless access/start, foglamps, tilt steering, cruise control, frontal air bags, power hatch release and power pull down, tire pressure monitor and magnetic ride control.
  • The ZR1’s LS9 engine had the same 376 cubic-inch (6.2L) displacement as Corvette’s base LS3 engine, but the LS9 was a new design with a 10.5-quart dry sump oil lubrication system. A positive-displacement, roots-type supercharger with a four lobe rotor design provided boost. The compression ratio was 9.1:1.
  • ZR1’s utilized a twin-disc clutch for increased clamping power. A stronger six-speed manual transmission was included. An automatic transmission option was not made available.
  • ZR1’s chassis with aluminum frame was developed from the Z06, though the ZR1 had Selective Magnetic Ride Control which had been specifically tuned for this application.
  • ZR1 came equipped with a raised hood made from carbon fiber that featured a clear, polycarbonate window to show the intercooler. The carbon fiber hood was body color with carbon-fiber weave evident on its underside. Front fenders were painted carbon fiber with unique side ports. Other carbon-fiber parts, including the fixed roof panel, the roof bow, front fascia splitter and rocker moldings were unpainted carbon fiber with a protective clear coating.
  • The ZR1 came equipped with Brembo brakes. Rotors were vented and drilled carbon-fiber-reinforced silicon carbide. The front rotors were 15.5 inches in diameter, the rear were 15 inches. Front calipers were six-piston, rear calipers were four-piston.
  • ZR1’s came equipped standard with Michelin Pilot 2 tire package. The front tires were a P285/30ZR19 while the rear tires were a P335/25ZR20.

Equipment Group – Coupe (2LT)

  • Optional equipment group upgrade (bundled options) for the 2009 Corvette coupe.
  • Included seat-mounted side impact airbags, sport seats, 6-way power passenger seat, cargo net, and a luggage shade.

Equipment Group – Convertible (2LT)

  • Optional equipment group upgrade (bundled options) for the 2009 Corvette coupe.
  • Included seat-mounted side impact airbags, sport seats, 6-way power passenger seat, and a cargo net.
  • Additionally, a power top was now standard on 2LT convertible models.

Dual Removable Roof Panels (Coupe) (C2L)

  • Two removable roof panels – color matched and transparent.
  • Although the Corvette coupe came equipped with the painted roof, this option allowed consumers to purchase both the fiberglass and the lexan roof tops. Both tops came fully equipped with all weatherstripping and hardware to properly fit/secure them to the car.

Removable Roof Panel, Transparent (Coupe) (CC3)

  • Optional transparent removable roof panel.
  • All Corvette coupes came equipped with a color matched roof panel. Consumers who wished to purchase the transparent panel in place of the color matched (painted fiberglass) roof panel could do so for an additional cost.
  • The transparent roof panel was made out Lexan and included all the same weatherstripping, mouldings, latches and hardware as the color matched, fiberglass top.

Non-recommended color/trim/top combo (D30)

  • Optional customer defined color combinations.
  • This option allowed consumers to select custom color combinations for the interior/exterior/convertible top for their Corvette other than those pre-determined by Chevrolet.

Magnetic Selective Ride Control (F55)

  • Adjustable magnetic suspension for varying drive conditions.
  • Was available with the coupe and convertible models. It was not available or Corvettes equipped with the Z51 performance option or on Z06 Corvettes.
  • Larger cross-drilled brake rotors were included with Magnetic Selective Ride Control (F55).

Rear Axle 2.73 Ratio (w/auto trans) (GU2)

  • Optional, higher-ratio rear axle gearing available on all Corvette models.
  • Replaced the 2.56 ratio which came standard on the base Corvette model when also equipped with RPO MX0 6-speed, paddle-shift, automatic transmission.
  • The 2.73 rear axle ratio came standard on Corvette equipped with the Z51 package.

Six-Speed Paddle Auto Trans (Coupe/Convertible) (MX0)

  • Optional automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
  • The paddle shifter feature enabled drivers to “manually” control the transmission’s shifting while operating the car.
  • Replaced the factory standard MN6 6-speed manual transmission.
  • When so equipped, the 2009 Corvette’s fuel economy was an estimated 17 MPG city, 27 MPG highway, and a combined 21 MPG.

Dual Mode Exhaust System (Coupe/Convertible) (NPP)

  • A hydraulically controlled adjustable exhaust system.
  • Dual Mode Exhaust utilizes a hydraulically controlled valve which opens at specific RPM to convert factory exhaust configuration to straight-back exhaust, allowing freer-flow (less restriction) of exhaust gases.
  • Dual Mode exhaust utilizes 2.5″ pipes in the exhaust system.
  • Power rating when dual mode exhaust system is installed (SAE): 436 hp and 580 ft lb of torque.

Competition Gray Aluminum Wheels (Z06) (Q44)

  • Painted finish on 10-spoke aluminum factory wheels.
  • The Z06 wheels featured a specific 10-spoke design.
  • The wheels were the same diameter as the base coupe and convertible models, but wider at 18×9.5 inch (front) and 19×12 inch (rear).
  • Z06 included extended mobility (run-flat) Goodyear Eagle F1 supercar tires, P275/35ZR18 front and P325/30ZR19 rear.

Polished Aluminum Wheels (Z06) (QL9)

Corvette Museum Delivery (R8C)

  • New Corvette owners could opt to pick up their car at the National Corvette Museum.
  • When selected, the Corvette is diverted from the ordering dealer and delivered to the Museum.
  • Once the new Corvette arrives at the Museum, the new owner journeys to Bowling Green where they enjoy the VIP treatment for a full day with private tours of the Assembly Plant and the Museum.
  • The NCM Xperience is a similar activity for those who already have their Corvette but want to enjoy the unique VIP treatment.

Gas Guzzler Tax (ZR1) (R8E)

AM/FM, CD, Navigation, Bose (U3U)

  • Upgraded stereo system package that included DVD and navigation.
  • XM satellite radio was included in all but base (US8) sound systems.
  • XM’s antenna was mounted in the exterior rear view mirrors.

Hertz Special Edition Coupe ($14,785 Convertible) (ZHZ)

  • The ZHZ special edition Corvettes built for Hertz rental car company (yellow convertibles) were not available for retail. A total of 375 of these special edition convertibles were purchased by Hertz in 2009.

Notes

  • Cyber Gray Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic were added, while Machine Silver Metallic was discontinued, bringing the 2009 Corvette’s color palette to a total of nine choices.
  • The iconic Corvette crossed flags emblem were distinguished with a new, bright surround.
  • Two new custom leather-wrapped interiors – Dark Titanium and Ebony – joined Sienna and Linen as available selections.
  • Bluetooth capability option enabled the Corvette to offer the convenience and safety of Bluetooth hands-free phone service.
  • The power hatch pull-down feature was made standard on all 2009 Corvette coupe and Z06 models.
