Introduced at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Chevrolet’s new Corvette C7.R quickly proved competitive, earning North American Endurance Cup victories at Long Beach, Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen, and Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
After additional wins in 2015 at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring, Chevrolet released the 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition to celebrate the racing success of Corvette Racing and the C7.R race cars developed by Pratt & Miller in partnership with Chevrolet. Notably, the special edition arrived before Corvette Racing secured its 2015 GTE-Pro class victory at Le Mans.
Every Z06 C7.R Edition came standard with the Z06 performance package, including a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 producing 650 horsepower, along with upgraded suspension, brakes, aerodynamics, and wheels. The Z07 package further enhanced performance, making it one of the most track-focused Corvettes available at the time.
This well-optioned 2016 Corvette Z06 convertible is now listed on Bring a Trailer with just 3,200 miles. This example is equipped with an automatic transmission, an electronic limited-slip differential, a removable targa roof, and the 3LT/3LZ trim packages. The Jet Black leather interior is accented with yellow stitching and includes heated and ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, navigation, a head-up display, a performance data recorder, and a Bose premium sound system.
Finished in Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat with C7.R graphics, it rides on black 19″ and 20″ Z06 alloy wheels and features Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with yellow calipers, carbon-fiber aerodynamic components, Spectra Gray Metallic trim, and a clear rear spoiler Gurney flap.
