When ZR1 production ended in 1995, it looked like the name was gone for good—until Chevrolet brought it back in 2009 with the C6 Corvette. Like the C3 ZR1’s move to dual overhead cams, the C6 ZR1 showed the pushrod V8 still had life left—this time with a supercharger delivering serious performance.
That supercharger, mounted on a 6.2L (376ci) V8 and visible through a hood window, pushed output to 638 horsepower—over 50% more than the base model. Power went through a six-speed manual to 19″ front and 20″ rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Carbon-ceramic brakes, revised suspension, and precise tuning helped manage the extra power.
Performance figures were impressive: 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds, quarter-mile in 11.3 seconds at 131 mph, 1.08g lateral grip, 91-foot stopping distance from 60 mph, and a 205 mph top speed. Produced from 2009 to 2013 with a $105,000 starting price, only 4,695 units were built.
This Torch Red 2010 Corvette ZR1, currently listed on Bring a Trailer with just 1,200 miles, is packed with features and shows in excellent condition. Standard equipment includes leather and carbon fiber interior accents, a head-up display, an AM/FM/CD Delco-Bose audio system, dual-zone climate control, ZR1-branded sill plates and headrests, a 220 MPH speedometer, and a boost gauge.
Additionally, it comes equipped with the 3ZR Premium Package, which upgrades it with a Bose seven-speaker premium sound system, power-adjustable and heated sport seats, a power telescoping steering column, Bluetooth, navigation, a universal home remote, a luggage shade, and more.
