At Orlando Speed World, That Racing Channel got an exclusive first look—and first passes—of Chevrolet’s all-new C8 Corvette ZR1, a car that’s rewriting what “factory fast” means. Javier and the TRC crew teamed up with owner and YouTuber Wheeler to put America’s latest supercar through its paces—on the street, on the strip, and side-by-side against a tuned G80 M3.

Chevy’s latest flagship isn’t just a reworked Z06—it’s a full-blown hypercar in muscle car clothing. Under the skin sits a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 1,064 horsepower and 9.8:1 compression, driving the rear wheels through an advanced traction management system. The massive 75-inch carbon wing creates up to 1,200 lb of downforce, though Christian admits it slows the car down slightly in a drag setting. With the wing removed, he’s already clocked 9.79 seconds at 148 mph, bone stock.

To prove its mettle, the ZR1 lined up against Gordon’s E40-tuned BMW G80 M3, an 800-wheel-horsepower AWD beast. The two lined up for a dig race on the unprepped side. Despite spinning hard, the ZR1 still charged back with ferocity, chasing down the M3 before the eighth-mile. Then came a 25 mph roll race, where the Corvette’s twin turbos screamed and the M3 was left watching taillights.
