In a recent episode of Edmunds U-Drags race, we get to see something truly special — a solo run featuring the 2025 Corvette ZR1. This isn’t just another sports car — it’s a 1,064-horsepower, 828 lb-ft, rear-wheel-drive beast running on sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The ZR1 takes on the U-Drag format: a quarter-mile sprint, hard braking into a 180-degree turn, and a full-throttle charge back to the start-finish line.
The ZR1 rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and completes the quarter mile in 10.0 seconds at 144.1 mph. It pulls a maximum of 1.38 g in cornering and completes the full UDrag course in an astonishing 28.9 seconds at 159.6 mph.
That makes the ZR1 the fastest gas-powered car ever tested at Edmunds U-Drag — beating the Porsche 911 Turbo S, McLaren 750S, McLaren 765LT, and even the Tesla Model S Plaid Track Pack. On the leaderboard, the ZR1 sits third overall, just behind the Lucid Air Sapphire and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT — both electric all-wheel-drive titans.
