What happens when you pit two supercars with over 1,000 horsepower in a drag race? Well, that is what you’ll have to find out by watching this video from DragTimes on YouTube as they lined up the brand-new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and a Lamborghini Revuelto in a series of drag races at Orlando Speed World Dragway.
The ZR1 in question is a fully loaded coupe featuring the ZTK performance package, a massive rear wing, Arctic White paint, carbon trim, and a split rear window that nods to the classic Sting Ray. Under the hood, it’s officially rated at 1,064 horsepower, but dyno numbers suggest it’s pushing well over 1,150 hp at the crank. Meanwhile, the Lamborghini Revuelto also brings over 1,000 hp to the table and benefits from all-wheel drive, which should aid in launching—especially on a sticky surface.
With a brutal heat index and sticky humidity, both cars face off under less-than-ideal conditions. Traction also proved to be a problem, with both cars struggling to hook on the initial runs. After track prep and lane swaps, the competition leveled out, and the actual performance of both machines came to light.
