In the newest video from DragTimes, we get to see the C8 ZR1 back in action again on the drag strip this time against the Tesla Model S Plaid. We’ve seen the C8 ZR1 duke it out with the Lamborghini Revuelto from their last video, where the Italian supercar won two of the three races.
This C8 ZR1 is no ordinary Corvette. It packs a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8, pushing out a staggering 1,064 horsepower, which is channeled to the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. With the ZTK performance package, Chevy claims it can hit 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 233 mph.
Its opponent, the Tesla Model S Plaid, delivers 1,020 horsepower from a tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup, launching from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds and reaching 200 mph with the Track Package.
