Douglas caught the Corvette affliction in 1999 at 31 when he bought his first brand new Fixed Roof Coupe. Since then, he has owned 20 Corvettes, the most recent being his third FRC, a 2000 model in the same color as the first two. Douglas recently traded his 2000 FRC to feed his new car smell addiction, and he hopes when you read his pieces, you will sense his genuine passion for all things Corvette.

Meet the polarizing ValarraVette C6, which knocks enthusiasts directly in the jaw with its outlandish love-hate looks. When most enthusiasts (myself included) hear the Yenko moniker, we instantly picture the formidable big-block Camaros cranked out by Yenko Chevrolet in the 60s and 70s. Owned by former racer Don Yenko, the Pennsylvania dealership became famous for offering these big-block beasts to enthusiasts before Chevrolet officially started offering them...
If you happened to see this 1981 Greenwood Daytona Turbo out in the wild, at first glance, you might shrug it off as another gaudy, outlandish body kit cobbled together by some 70s-era shade-tree wanna-be designer who just finished binge-watching the classic “Corvette Summer” hit with Mark Hamill. You wouldn’t...

There’s a dynamic I’ve experienced bidding on thousands of vehicles as a used car dealer. Over the countless auctions I’ve attended during my 17 years as a dealer, I’ve seen it happen more times than I can count. If you mix in ego with a no-reserve auction, prices can get...

We have a great rivalry in the collector car auction world right now, with Barrett-Jackson and Mecum throwing out numbers that rival what other auctions are garnering for our beloved Corvette. These Kissimmee numbers are why Mecum dubbed themselves the “undisputed” champion of collector car auctions, and CorvSport agrees wholeheartedly. $275,000,000: Most dollars ever achieved...
