Built by the Creative Glass Company from Oneida, Tennesse, it was made as a tribute to the TV show “Route 66,” which ran from 1960 to 1964. While meant to be a mass-produced ride, a fire at the Creative Glass production facility that destroyed the molds and ended the production run.

The mechanicals and electronics were disassembled, cleaned, refurbished to factory new where needed, and then hand-painted to match the original decals and art that featured on the ride.
