Corvette Of The Day: 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Coupe by Karl Kustoms

More than a decade ago, Karl Kustoms from Des Moines, Iowa introduced their modern take on the iconic split-window Corvette that’s based on the C6 platform.

This particular car was built using a 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport that was equipped with the 3LT option package. Karl Kustoms modified the exterior of the car to replicate the split-window Corvette Sting Ray that was introduced in 1963. The car wears Velocity Yellow paintwork over a black center stripe and rides on C6 Z06-style wheels.

Aside from the exterior makeover, the stock LS3 6.2 litre V8 engine that originally produced 430 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque was upgraded with an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger and now punches out around 600 horsepower which is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
