The STS ZR7 debuted at the 2008 SEMA show in Las Vegas, intended as a limited production of 50 Corvettes upgraded by STS to surpass the performance of the ZR1, but this convertible was the only other car of this kind produced.
It features a Kindig-It Design widebody kit, which includes modified front and rear bumper covers, a Hi-Tech Custom Concepts vented hood, side skirts, and flared fenders. The body was refinished in metallic dark blue.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 now reportedly delivers 70 additional horsepower, enhanced with an STS rear-mounted twin-turbo kit, upgraded valvetrain and fuel system, a front-mount intercooler, aluminum radiator, and custom ECU mapping, paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox and limited-slip differential.
