We’re pushing full throttle into Episode 69 of our exclusive Insider Series, where our resident retired dealer draws on 17 years of experience to deliver wholesale market insights you simply won’t find anywhere else. When CorvSport set out in early 2024 on a mission to explore the dealer-only lanes like no one else, we never imagined that our growing database and extensive market research would become an indispensable resource for thousands of enthusiasts. And today, we’re bringing you a bonus market report: an unprecedented look at every C8 ZR1 wholesaled at the largest dealer-only auction in the country, backed by 18 data points that reveal where the supercar’s wholesale market stands. Why does this matter? Because wholesale is where dealers put real money behind their opinions, and those transactions establish the acquisition costs that ultimately help shape what you’ll see on used-car lots. Understanding what happens behind the dealer-only curtain today can give Corvette buyers and sellers a valuable head start on where retail prices may be headed tomorrow.

1 – Today’s Top 3 Storylines: Two ZR1s Enter The Arena, A Top 7 Rollercoaster, & A SuperSeller Shakeup
1. A Curated Top 7 Loaded With C8 Intrigue, Including Two ZR1s
Two C8 ZR1s headline this week’s lineup, and both come with questions of their own. First up is a 2025 3LZ Convertible from SuperSeller GMTV with 4,368 miles, which failed to find a buyer when it appeared in our Top 7 two weeks ago. Will GMTV finally get her hammered this time around? On the opposite end of the spectrum, a virtually untouched 2027 3LZ Convertible arrives with just 12 miles and still literally in the wrapper, but its seller, Pride Auto Sales, is an unfamiliar face in these tough Dallas dealer-only lanes. Then there are the mileage tests: a 2024 Stingray Coupe showing 23,173 miles and a 2024 Z06 Convertible with 17,293 miles, both well above what we typically see on relatively young C8s. Add in the fact that five of our seven selections are Convertibles, and we’ve got another interesting question: Is this the right time of year to be betting heavily on open-air Corvettes with winter approaching?
2. The Top 7 Meets The Dallas Rollercoaster: Which Way Is The Market Heading?
Predicting this week’s results won’t be easy. Our Curated Top 7 has delivered four wildly different performances in its last four appearances: 100%, 43%, 86%, and 71%. Meanwhile, the broader Dallas market has been on its own rollercoaster, posting sell-through rates of 78.3%, 60.9%, 71.4%, and 84.8% over its last four episodes. That’s quite a range, and the two performance tracks haven’t exactly moved in lockstep. With buyers, sellers, inventory, and individual Corvette configurations all playing a role, there’s little reason to assume this week’s results will follow any predictable pattern. Will our Top 7 outperform the lanes, or will the Dallas market deliver another surprise?
