Listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette coupe combines the iconic one-year-only split rear window with extensive modern performance upgrades and a high level of restoration. The car was recognized with an NCRS Emerald Award at the 2026 “Show Me” regional meet in Springfield, Missouri, underscoring the quality of its presentation.
The fiberglass body has been refinished in Sebring Silver Metallic, complemented by a custom Twilight Blue leather interior. The hood and front bumperettes have been replaced, while the polished stainless-steel trim was restored and the front and rear bumperettes received triple chrome plating. Green-tinted glass, billet aluminum hood grilles, triple taillights, chambered side-exit exhausts with heat shields, and upgraded electric headlight and windshield-wiper motors further distinguish the build.
At its core is an SRIII Motorsports custom tube-frame chassis engineered to substantially modernize the Corvette’s dynamics. The suspension incorporates four-link independent rear geometry and QA1 adjustable coilovers, while power rack-and-pinion steering improves response and drivability. Braking is handled by four-wheel Wilwood hardware, including red four-piston calipers, drilled and vented rotors, stainless-steel lines, and a polished aluminum master cylinder. Chrome C7 Z06-style wheels measure 18 inches at the front and 19 inches at the rear, carrying 245/45 and 275/35 redline tires, respectively.
Engine performance comes from a GM Performance LS376/480 6.2-liter V8 installed around 2022. Equipped with an LS Hot Cam, the engine was factory rated at 495 horsepower. A Holley Terminator X management system, stainless-steel headers, custom air intake, aluminum radiator, and smoothed engine bay support the conversion. Power reaches the rear wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 44 rear axle featuring a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential and billet aluminum cover.
Inside, the Twilight Blue leather cabin incorporates Vintage Air climate control, power windows, LED lighting, and a Billet Specialties steering wheel mounted to a Flaming River tilt column. Blue-lit Intellitronix digital gauges modernize instrumentation, while a Kenwood touchscreen system provides Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, satellite radio, AM/FM reception, and a backup camera. A five-speaker custom audio system completes the cabin.
The result is a carefully engineered fusion of first-generation Corvette styling, award-level presentation, modern chassis technology, and potent LS-based performance.
