For the 2018 model year, the Chevrolet Corvette celebrated its 65th anniversary by introducing the Corvette Carbon 65 Edition which was available for the 2018 Grand Sport 3LT and Z06 3LZ models. The Corvette Carbon 65 Edition was limited to a total of just 650 numbered vehicles worldwide
The 2018 Corvette Carbon 65 Edition features visible carbon-fiber exterior elements reminiscent of the Corvette Racing C7.R, coupled with a new Ceramic Matrix Gray exterior color and distinctive fender stripes and door graphics. Whether in Coupe or Convertible form, the vehicle is equipped with all-black wheels featuring machined grooves and striking blue brake calipers.
Inside this dynamic sports car, distinctive interior features await, including a new carbon-fiber-rimmed steering wheel and a jet-black suede-wrapped interior adorned with beautiful blue contrast stitching. The supportive, racing-inspired seats proudly showcase Carbon 65 Edition badges on the headrests. Additional Carbon 65 badges are found in the door sills and on the steering wheel, allowing drivers to display the Corvette heritage with pride on every drive.
Powering the vehicle is a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 with dry-sump lubrication, boasting a rating of 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices include the seven-speed manual with active rev match and the eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters. In this configuration, the Carbon 65 Edition is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 3.5 seconds.
