I think I can speak for most of us avid enthusiasts that sometimes owning and inevitably trying to sell these old fifth-generation Corvettes can be frustrating. Anyone who has tried to sell a vehicle, especially a Corvette, can attest to the challenges, especially if you’re attempting to do so on a platform like Facebook marketplace or a Corvette-specific Facebook page.

Well, one C5 Z06 owner dealt with that frustration differently and, with the help of his Louisville Slugger, took matters into his own hands.

The Story From Moe B., The Enthusiast Who Rescued Her

“Bought this c5z back in 2020 from the insurance auction with very weird damage, it looked like someone took a baseball bat to every panel the quarter, roof, doors, fenders, hood, windsheild all had holes. Posted it on the c5z facebook page trying to find a backstory and apparently a couple months back from when i bought it a guy was trying to sell it but was way overpriced so he gave up and took a bat to it to collect insurance money. He posted the damage on the fb page and everyone knew something was off and apparently he was caught up and got hit with insurance fraud.

I had a ton of fun driving the car with all the damage just enjoying driving/racing it and never washing it lol. I eventually got the damage fixed after putting around 3k miles on it.”
